I saw Corso and Herbstreit picked LSU vs Ohio St in the title game.

They must know something about our QB situaton that I don't.

They know your QB situation is about the same as 2-3 other top SEC schools. SEC is in a strange spot right now.

Notre Dame Season:

vs. Texas: Win - The Longhorns need another year under Strong to stabilize. I hope they return to being a great team.
@ Virginia: Win - Nice D, but not going to be enough.
vs Georgia Tech: Win - A lower scoring game that ND will have to fight to pull out.
vs UMass: Win - Good timing for a cupcake game.
@ Clemson: Win - Coming off of an easy game, ND pulls off a big win. Clemson lost a lot of talent from last season.
vs Navy: Win - A nice advantage for Niumatalolo to have seen ND vs GT. But not enough. Navy is always a tough one though.
vs USC: Loss - Navy before USC is brutal. I wish there was a bye week in there. I think USC is improving and a home loss here really hurts. This is about where the close FSU loss derailed the season last year.
@ Temple: Win - This 2 game stretch says a lot about the season. With a USC loss, a blowout shows ND is still fighting... a close one might show a lack of effort on the field.
@ Pitt: Win - The ship should be going in the right direction and Pitt doesn't look great this season.
vs Wake: Win - Should be really good and beating up on average teams at this point.
vs BC: Win - Hopefully the last 3 weeks have prepared them for a stout BC squad. Good line, good running game... maybe a trap?
@ Stanford: Win - ND won 17-14 in South Bend last year and I think ND returns more talent this year. If the playoffs are on the line (12-0 or 11-1) then ND will show up and get the job done. If they've suffered a 2nd loss at some point, they'll get mauled here.

Overall: 11-1
Best Case: 12-0 (USC is the deal breaker imo)
Worst Case: 9-3 (I really hope they don't fold like last season, that got ugly)

Playoff Prediction:

#1 - Ohio State Buckeyes
- They are going to steamroll the Big 10. I'm not much of an OSU fan, but this team is ridiculous. Ezekiel Elliott is BeastMode 2.0.

#2 - Oklahoma
- All that hype for TCU / Baylor... and Oklahoma is just sitting back and chilling. I don't know if it's Mayfield or Knight starting, but I don't think it matters. They have an awesome defense, a great running back and Sterling Shepard should be an excellent WR. More importantly, the schedule lines up well. Getting Tennessee early is huge. The Vols are improving quickly, so catching them before they gel is important. Then it comes down to blowing through the conference schedule and facing Baylor away, TCU at home and finishing up with the Cowboys on the road. I think Baylor is weaker than TCU and their going to get exploited after facing a bunch of scrubs most of the season. The TCU battle it he real matchup and by this point, the Sooners QB (whoever it is) will be settled and the team should be running like a well oiled machine. Taking care of business at home should be doable, leaving the rivalry game vs Okie State. With national title hopes in sight, I could see them putting a hurtin' on them.

#3 - Florida State Seminoles
- It's not that I think they are great, I just don't see where they lose a game. They have a lot of tough road games, but none that they shouldn't win. Plus, even if they slip up against Clemson or Georgia Tech, 11-1 still might get them in. (see my special SEC/PAC12 note)

#4 - Notre Dame
- I'm going homer pick. The season hinges on being ready for USC in week 5. If the team develops properly, the schedule really isn't as tough as previous years and ND can cruise to a 11-0, going to Stanford. I also think the SEC/PAC12 issue is at play here, because ND could get a look at the playoffs even with a close USC loss.

*******************************************************************************************

Champions: Ohio State Buckeyes
- The Buckeyes are in their own class. No other team in the country is close right now. In my scenario, they'd face an ND squad that is supremely outmatched. A worst case scenario for them is if an SEC team or PAC12 team pulls off a 1 loss season and ends up with the 4th seed. The prep time for a good PAC12/SEC team to face them in the opening round is the only hope I think anyone has of stopping them.
- Florida State is going to get abused in the playoffs.
- I expect Oklahoma to be the #2 and to face Ohio State in the title game... I do think they'll keep it close and be respectable... but it's back-to-back for the Buckeyes.

As for the PAC12 and SEC.. I think they both have more talented teams than ND/Florida State. But when I look at the schedules, it's hard to find a team in either conference that's going to go 11-1 and you can forget 12-0. There are tons of QB question marks in the SEC right now. If anyone can pull it off, I think it's LSU, but they have going to have to beat Auburn in Wk.3 (thankfully at home), to make it happen. I don't see them getting through their late season gauntlet without 1 loss... likely @ Alabama.

In the PAC12, ASU has the most favorable schedule, but it could get blown up in Wk.1 vs Texas A&M. A non-conference loss could diminish the value of a PAC12 champion if ASU remains in play. I don't think Oregon's defense can stand up to road trips against ASU and Stanford. On talent and coaching alone, I'd take USC. The issue... that schedule is a nightmare. ASU, ND and Oregon on the road... plus games vs. Stanford and UCLA.

Im still getting used to the fact that MSU has legitimate national expectations. Yet even now, completely overshadowed by Ohio State (rightfully so). Makes me even more bummed that there isnt an NCAA video game to finally give me a descent team to play with

The Gophers are going to compete with Wisconsin for the division title. They could be a 9 win team this year.

SMU....REALLY?!?

Don't think SMU can pull it off but them hanging in there for a half should give Baylor the wake up call they need

It was. The Husker need to settle on a RB though, you can't win 7 games with a RBBC in today's game. I did like Wilbon, the stats don't show how good he can be though.

I thought it was weird that the Husker had Newby in on a 4th and 1 when you have a bruiser like Cross on your team, although it wouldn't have mattered with the amount of Cougars in the back field that play.

LSU wins more than 7 games every year, and they rotate about RBs per season.
