A lot of quiet rumors lately that United will go after Carlo, who Ronaldo loves playing for. Would be perfect :D
why would ronaldo come back to united when he can go to psg. the premier league is too strong top to bottom and he would have to work for 25 goals when he can go to psg play legit bottom feeders and score 40 goals.

Who is he going to replace? They cannot pay for him unless they sell heavily, they're in breach of FFP as it is.

Ronaldo said he prefers living in Madrid compared to Paris, why the hell would he want to live in Manchester again

Love these sensational transfer rumours that never cease but always end up with the same result

He himself has said he would love to end his career at United. A lot of players play in Manchester but don't live in Manchester.

In all fairness, every player gets rumored to go to United at some point. It's not even remotely sensational at this point. Just par for the course.

With that said, Ronaldo has actually hinted at returning to Man U on multiple occasions. There's some legit validity to that idea.

Besides, keep up, he's spending all of his free time jetting off to Morocco to fling around lightsabers with MMA fighter/kickboxer Badr Hari.

"End his career" a la Frankie Lampard and Stevie G to the MLS ;)

All I'm saying is I doubt it happens in his prime but very late on in his career

I take these rumours obviously very lightly Reign, and even though he hinted as such maybe he was just trying to appease former supporters or gain leverage in contract negotiations. No one really knows for sure how much weight to put in any one thought

Did anyone really think Sergio Ramos wanted to leave Real Madrid? Most viewed it as a move to get that one last deal. I think Cristiano enjoyed his footballing time at Old Trafford but don't see him seriously considering a move for some time

Ronaldo is 30, going on 31. His "prime" is almost over.

The Ramos rumor had legs for a reason. Ramos is the first player EVER that the Madrid president has resigned to a contract extension where he had less than two years remaining on his deal. At Madrid, you either get your new deal done with at least two years left, or you're not getting a new deal.

I would disagree with it having legs at all, soccer is the worst as far as rumours coming to fruition. Yes your explanation lines up but I don't buy a Ramos move one bit. Every year you see the same players linked with the top clubs and rarely does anything happen. There's obviously more examples but just off the tip of my head for players that have been linked for at least 2 or more seasons

Hummels / Pogba to United
Cavani / Higuain to Arsenal
Messi to Chelsea
Aguero to Madrid

What's your take on Wambachs comments Jason? While I agree that Klinsmanns time is up, I disagree with the bringing in foreign born guys part. Also find it curious that all of a sudden she has the need to speak her mind. Seems like a weak attempt to remain relevant following her retirement. She also made mention of female athletes getting paid more like male ones

I understand that she wants American-born players to get more opportunity. The problem is, youth soccer is pay-to-play here, and it's free-to-play over in Europe. Until that changes, we will need the American players who developed in Europe to get better.

Not sure why she felt the need to go out like that.

plus if anything build a base with international talent so that it attracts US born kids to want to play. It's like Canada, you'd think with all the multiculturalism and I'm sure athletes, we'd be better than some of the countries ahead of us. unfortunately we have no big canadian star and no history to get people actively into it.

I think it comes down to Hiddink, Simeone and Antonio Conte. Ancelloti is the biggest name on the market, but he's had his run at Chelsea (yes, Jose x2, I know) but I don't see him giving it another go there. I could see him trying to slid into Bayern, knowing that Pep is on the way out. I think Pep will be coaching in Manchester next year... just not sure which side. I see it playing out as Hiddink now, Simeone getting huge pressure for the job this summer, then if he fails and Hiddink doesn't have a good finish to the season, Conte is going to get a call. That's just my take on it all.
Confirmed, Carlo Ancelotti will take over at BM after Pep leaves. I think that probably leaves it as Jose or Pep going to United.

We'll have to see. He could go to United, he could go to City, both are going to flash serious cash.

He chose to step down. He doesn't like to stay with any team for more than 3-4 years.
