i just looked it up, they can't interfere with the receiving teams opportunity to catch the ball... so i guess that's subjective

I felt like on that 3rd and 7, they shoulda ran to set up a short 4th down possibly.

Same thing on the previous possession, 3rd and 10 from the Bama 40, either run, or run a screen to try to setup a short 4th down.

2 blown assignments, a long run, and a kick return. Tough way to lose.
