Loved it when Nate said, "I'm not surprised motherfuckers!"
McGregor said, "I'm humble in victory and humble in defeat." Motherfucker, you aint never humble!

I think he looked pretty spot on. Only got hit with just a couple of punches. I think Diaz was cut during the stare-down before the opening bell. The look on Connor's face when Diaz connected with that first 1-2 combo was like, "Oh fuck, I bit off more than I can chew!"GeorgesGoons wrote:
I am actually pretty excited to see this one. If Diaz looks like the Johnson fight Diaz then Connor, and his fans, are in for a rude awakening.
I haven't seen what the judges score cards looked like. Note even sure where you can find those if they do release them in the event of a stoppage. I don't think anyone won the 1st round. The only "significant" strike that landed was a overhand right by Tate. Holm was lucky to get out of the second round. 3rd and 4th round I thought were boring but most likely a Holm round.GeorgesGoons wrote: I think Tate has a better shot at beating Holm than does Rousey at this point.
Connor said he is humble in victory and defeat but he says that he probably shouldn't have taken the fight at 170. That's an excuse where I come from. And no, he shouldn't have taken the fight at 170. I thought he was stupid for doing that.uf83198 wrote:Post Fight Comments:

His comments came across as making an excuse to me. He seemed humbled by the defeat though, which is good. It may be a good thing for him. He needs to get into a camp where he can learn the wrestling and BJJ game. He would be almost unbeatable if he could shore up those aspects of his game, and stayed at 145ReignOnU wrote:Actually... he's been quite humble after his fights. He openly admits that he hypes to sell tickets.

That's possible.ReignOnU wrote:I think we've got vastly different opinions here. That is a great card. It might not be the super card that everyone was dreaming of, but it's a damn good card that is going to have a good range of fantastic finishes and technical fighting. I think you're just comparing it to what everyone hyped 200 to be.
Just got in from vacation late last night... haven't been able to keep up. I did see the video and I agree, I think he's going to get off w/o any charges, which will also nullify the probation issue. All of that said, it doesn't matter, Cormier is out. Curveball!GeorgesGoons wrote:That's possible.ReignOnU wrote:I think we've got vastly different opinions here. That is a great card. I don't see the relevence of Diego, Lauzon, Miller or Gomi (none are ranked in the top 10). Don't get me wrong, huge fan of Lauzon and Diego but they are all gate keepers at this point in their career. Not worthy of "THE" card of the year. They could have done so much better with this card, just my opinion. They really needed a WBW fight on the main card if they want to still keep the women relevant in the UFC. Besides the title fight and the Nunes/polish girl, who else has fought that is relevant? I can't remember any to be honest.
I still think the UFC chopped it's nose off in spite of its face with the Connor/Diaz fight. There should be absolutely zero reason why there wasn't a Edgar or Aldo match here. I think Aldo deserves a chance for what he has done in that weight division before Edgar, but now they get to settle who is next in the cage.
I hope Diaz absolutely DESTROYS Conor. I like McBoastful but he isn't as good as he thinks he is.
What do you think happens with Jones? I watched the video when he was pulled over. I thought the cop was a condescending asshole. I would not be surprised to see the charges dropped, mainly because the cop said the feeling was mutual about not liking Jones. A good defense lawyer could say he had it out for him right from the get go. And the ticket about the cover around the plate....c'mon! It obviously still had temp tags and most likely the dealers cover around that (just going off a hunch there). A guy I work with was a cop before starting to do the UAV thing and he even said the cop was going a little over board and was throwing the book at him.

When the UFC started the woman's division they had some of the better fights on every card. That's why I want to watch them. They definitely need to do some talent scouting though.autiger730 wrote:GeorgesGoons wrote: Where the hell has been the womans BW been?
