This is a not going away anytime soon either. I think I'm going to decide to be transgender and walk in a few 24hour fitness centers after the girls are done with their workouts. It's getting out of hand. The same people up in arms about the bathroom issue are the same people up in arms about sex crimes.

I just feel like it's a completely contrived media type issue. I could be wrong as I just don't know anyone who is transgender, but has it really been that big of an issue?

I do find some of the same quotes some people keep saying to be funny and so narrowminded. You see people all up in arms because the big, bad transgendered dude can go to the same bathroom and harm their poor little daughter. So...does that mean we're not concerned about the big, bad transgendered dude using the same bathroom as their son?

We have 3 or 4 openly transgender students currently. Who knows if there are more. It is definitely out there and more common than we think.

But is the actualy bathroom thing an issue?

Has a transgendered person done harm to anyone in a bathroom before?

My guess, again just a complete guess, is the outrage is in the wrong direction and that transgendered folks are more often than victim of violent situations in a m male's bathroom.

Bathroom is a HUGE issue. We have some designated bathrooms that they can use. We have a plan for locker room use, that is another issue in itself.

Most of the outrage is the religious groups. And like you are saying, the men in womens bathroom is the shocker. Nobody notices or talks about the woman in the mens

The transgender person going in the female bathroom has caused what issue, exactly? I'm not disagreeing, you obviously know more of your school's issues, but I'm trying to understand.

As I said, the current outrage is that they shouldn't be allowed, but what issues are they specifically causing? Or is the outrage, as you said, based on groups complaining but not on specific instances?

I don't care, most of our bathrooms have doors. This issue is girls are much more sensitive and self-conscious. Many will feel unsafe in a bathroom they know they are sharing with a "male". Big thing at school is making sure kids feel safe. Again, it doesn't bother me, but I don't have daughters and it isn't my problem when I'm at home.

I can only speculate from an education stand point. I would say biggest issue would be bullying and harassment ( which is not limited only to transgenders and the bathroom is the biggest place for it to happen)

The fact that they had to introduce a law tells you something: there were no laws about use of a public bathroom. So the people that are suddenly angry and want laws because they don't think it is safe to let their children go use a bathroom alone -- it was never safe to let your children go use the bathroom alone because there is truly nothing stopping anyone from going into whatever bathroom they want whenever they want.

So I'm watching NHL game on kodi b/c the weather is shit. Canadian stream, HD quality but legit 50% of the commercials are ads pimping Canada in some way and nearly every commercial has the maple leaf logo somewhere. No wonder nick is how he is.

Watched another guy walk away from 3 500lb bombs. It's amazing. But saw another guy who was shooting off a mortar get hit with a small hand held UAV that explodes. It weighs around 6lbs and has the same blast as a 40mm grenade.
