NDL News: Spring Training Begins
Monday, March 4th, 2041
Spring training is more than just laid-back, carefree living in warm-weather climes. For clubs, it's about self-evaluation. For players, it's about making the big squad, or, failing that, impressing club officials enough to earn a promotion in the minor ranks. Ricardo Hernández Changes Diet, Comes To Camp In Top Shape
Monday, March 4th, 2041
Players turned heads when Aces SP, Ricardo Hernández, first walked into the clubhouse on the first day of spring training. Hernández surprised everyone by shedding weight as a result of a diet change in the off-season.
"After last season ended, I decided it was time to take my career to another level. You only get one shot at playing this game at a professional level and I want to make the most of my opportunity. Apart from doing more work-outs, I decided I was going to completely change my diet. I eliminated all junk food and focused on implementing as many greens into my diet as possible."
As a result, the whole clubhouse is excited to see how Hernández performs this year. Some believe that he could really turn the corner on his career.
"I feel great. I'm excited to get out there and show the world who I am," Hernández said, grinning from ear to ear.
