I'm on part 3 at the white Bronco scene. Sooooo good.
a) this is probably a thread of its own rather than random discussion
b) it was good, but nothing special unless you were too young to remember it all ... i found it to be a bit of a let down after the hype i had heard
c) the dude in episode 5 pronounced it REEEEESE-E-OOOOOOOO.

that HBO doc spoiled me, i was waiting for an OJ confession or at least an in-prison interview at the end.

they didn't even do the 'words on the screen' ending. thats how all docs should end!

I guess I would fall into the category of being two young or not caring about it growing up but the first two episodes had me and my lady hooked and will definitely check out the rest

I remember sitting down to watch the NBA finals and then they broke in with the OJ car chase. It just sucked me in and I didn't watch a minute of the game. I played in a 3-on-3 tourney the next day and that's all anybody could talk about.

I've never been interested in watching anything about this. I remember it all pretty well. Watched basically the entire trial with my great grandmother. We were glued to the TV everyday.

3v3s were the rage in Indiana/Ohio back in the day. Hoop-It-Up, Macker, there was another that was something like USA Hoops, plus all of the locals. I still despise downtown Indianapolis because the the HIU tournaments there. They had them at the fairgrounds somewhere around 38th street. It was such a pain in the ass getting there, not because of distance, but because that stretch of road has the absolutely worst timing for traffic lights that I've ever witnessed. What should have been a 15min trip in from Castleton (friend's place) was like 30-40. Incredibly annoying.

Cincinnati gets bonus points for the most interesting 3 on 3 location... the tournament was played on the plaza of Riverfront Stadium. More than 1 ball managed to go flying off of that deck.

The Bronco chase was while I was in HS, right around my birthday. I just remember it being around dinner time and we had been cooking out... had it on the living room. Don't remember too much more about it.

Joe Hoops was another regional 3-on-3 series in Indiana. They were mostly indoors at sports centers or college HPER buildings.

One of my all time favorite tournaments was in this little podunk town northeast of Fort Wayne. It was outdoor 5-on-5 full court. This little town park had 2 full courts with glass backboards, breakaway rims, and actual scoreboards. It was three weeks long on Thursday-Sundays. The winners got a pretty good cut of cash (1500-2500) and 2-4th got de-escalating shares. There were usually teams from Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.

So if anyone would like to book a flight to Ireland, now is the time. Roundtrip flights from Sept to Feb. are in the $520 range from all over the US.

Don't ever start a sentence with "prayers for beefy" in the NDL as that doesn't sit well considering well, ya know.

I was literally just going to write "Prayers for Beefy" and allow the people familiar with his love of Pat Summit connect the dots, but then realized that 90% of the people here would just think he's on his deathbed.

So Mark Zuckerberg is building a wall around his home in Hawaii, and this is a pretty generic comment ive been reading all day.

"Zuckerberg is a hypocrite. He has attacked Trump for wanting to build a wall to prevent illegal immigration, but he has no problem building his own personal wall around his home."
