Does he?

He didn't export for like 11 days during important times in the offseason, that didn't feel very consistent, he even lost a legit prospect to Rule 5 simply by not consistently exporting.

I certainly don't agree with the 1 week of no exporting thing whoever said, but KDog(maybe for good reason) had a really looooooong bout of inconsistency, and now he does it again and really messes with the league with that Rule 5 prospect, that's not a good look at all for the league. At some point, something has to be done, no?
He didn't have internet as he moved into the middle of nowhere. He consistently let me know what was going on and he kept in contact.

This is the first time he has ever missed Rule 5 actually and he has had me handle it for him in the past.

Again, I ask what do we do with Kelly, Bernie, Ran, and any one else that goes on for weeks without being active? Silent exporters that do have their moments of a couple of weeks with no activity.

And I answered. :)

The duration of no exports is really not THAT important, it's what is being missed during that timeframe. If you don't export for 12 days during the season but had minimal injuries and your lineups set pretty well that there wasn't that much to do, that's 1 thing. But failing to complete all offseason tasks and the Rule 5 debacle we saw, that's an entirely different 12 days of no exporting.

Yup since Saturday. Couldn't get good enough internet in the airports yesterday to muster up an export.

I disagree.

We have had multiple guys be gone for some of the more crucial items for many many seasons and not once was this ever an issue.

I just don't think a one time infraction is grounds for losing your team.

Hell, kdog has been more active than Bernie, Kelly, or Ran combined for the past couple seasons.

If this wasnt an 80 rated guy or a guy that hasn't won consistently ever, I don't think we are even having this discussion at all.

I agree, as I mentioned on the last page when I said "at some point" something has to be done, definitely not the 1st time.

KDog's case is a bit special with the internet thing, but to be honest, he should have been removed as he was gone for what felt like almost 1 full year real time, so he should have been removed, then added back once it was resolved IMO. So it probably feels like he's been AWOL more...cause he kinda has because of that.

I get what Corey is saying but I know I have had talks about Bernie on here as well. Then he responds and says sorry guys I am back and doesn't hire a scout for a year. Replace the dude already, it's just a waste of a spot when it seems we can get an active person.

Billy I get what you are saying. It seems we need to come up with some sort of standard for allowing people into the league based on activity.

Basically we have seen teams like Chicago, Charlotte, and San Antonio be fairly inactive or passive if you will.

Is this hurting the league? Other than the rule 5 draft this year does their inactivity in FA or the draft effect us?

Yes and no. This is tough and I think needs to be looked into.

When I left the negotiations after getting Walker I was at $16mil per season.

Being that he isn't signed yet makes me think he is in the $20mil range or so. I don't know who though as he didn't tell me specifically like Walker did about Sheltown.

Walker-"Thats a fine offer but Sheltown has one better over 7 years for more than yours. Can you beat it?"...or something along those lines.

I might be in need for an assistant gm if KDog wants to work under me.. learn the ropes. Got a spot in R ball for Duster too if he wants to experience winning.

Pretty much. On the flip side, when Corey made his counter, Mounds just said, Boston put out a better offer, what you got?

REMINDER

Organization Roster Size:
- At any given time you may have up to 163 players, plus any players that are on your disabled list+ your IFA Complex. You do not have to conform to the max number of players at a specific level of minor league play. You may have more than the max at a given level, as long as you do not exceed 163+ DL, in total organization.
