Re: 2047 Season Thread-Oh Canada!
Happy with our draft in Dillonvale considering this was a weaker class.
1st round:
1B Lou Pryor - 20/75 by my scout, 20/74 by OSA.
Looks to be a very good power hitter if he lives up to his expectations.
2nd round:
SP Chester Mitchell - 20/57 by my scout, 20/74 by OSA.
My scout says he will be a MR, OSA thinks he has the potential to have a good 3rd pitch and maybe becoming a starter one day. We will see how he pans out.
3rd round:
CL Ron Miller - 20/72 my scout, 20/76 OSA.
He should develop into a nice Closer for his career.
4th round:
2B Dexter Gonzalez - 20/46 my scout, 20/40 OSA
Will be a career 2B. Should have a very high hitting avg, but not much more, but that is why we were interested in him.
5th round:
SP Nick Thomas - 20/40 Scout, 20/72 OSA.
He will be nothing more than an average to below avg MR as he only has 2 pitches, unless a 3rd develops out of no where.

I love my 1st round pick.
My 2nd and 3rd rounders are blue by OSA, but 1 is a borderline starter/reliever.
My scout also drafted 5 straight pitchers.

Solid pick in the lefty Shaffer for my 1st rounder, stoked about my 2nd rounder....anything after that is rather blah...

Check back in 3-4 sims and then tell us all about how much you all love your draft classes

I am fully aware of the ratings drop so I am leaving out those likely guys but my scout loved my draft. I had SS Sidney Blackwell #1 on my board, I think he has great talent but a lot of that is hit positional value. Had 1B Ramon Cora 3rd on my board and was thrilled to land him. Also added 3-4 70+ pot pitchers which the farm needed. Love the direction of the rebuild, all these comp picks have certainly helped.

I assure you that you did not have a good draft.wdoupis wrote:I am fully aware of the ratings drop so I am leaving out those likely guys but my scout loved my draft. I was going to add in to my post a blank for the Cookeville hate comment. He is getting scared of seeing what these Greeks are building

Yes, all the way over there in the AL. You're scaring the bejesus out of me...

I refuse to let realignment ruin the rivalry. I am still going to shit on your team every chance I get lol

Well then, I'll take the first shot. Here's your precious rebuild

Names have been removed to save them the embarrassment
Spoiler!
Re: 2047 Season Thread-Oh Canada!
We have all learned to ignore the scouting differences. I try hard to sync my scout with OSA and doing that it looks much different on my end. The Greeks will be a huge threat in 4-5 seasons, I promise that.

I was really hoping for a more argumentative reply. You've disappointed me yet again.

Richmond needs to be moved back to the NL. Where do we get a petition started for this?

Re: 2047 Season Thread-Oh Canada!
so I hit "ask scouting director for all rounds", and he drafts me a 46pot SP that he had 50+ other pitchers rated with higher potential at #9 overall pick. Makes sense.
Love the in-game draft

In-game draft is by far my least favorite thing we do in the league for that very reason. I think I mentioned last season I drafted a guy with like 30 potential or something in the 3rd or 4th round, but my scout drafted a guy with 77 potential in the 7th round. What???
