In general I am in favor of bailouts b/c rob sucking means rob not posting which sucks.

I go the other way, kinda. If he were still active while bad and having little hope, I'd be more for him getting the bailout.

He'd probably be better off trading them for cash plus younger pre-arb solid ML players.

I am as big of a Rob fan as any but we all know he is moving to Cincy next season. I say let the move happen, interest goes to 100 and if he can't put a big dent in the debt after that season we start looking at bailout options.

i assume Gate Rev is the ticket prices no? or does that take into account away games?

This would be ideal. The league is FULL of 480k guys floating around the 60-65ish potential mark that are ML ready. He gives up a big prospect for 2-3 of these guys that can contribute right away (not like the Richmond trade, sorry bud, you robbed Rob) and he'll be competitive all while generating revenue.

Why not let Robs owner give whatever he gives. No owner will completely eliminate every bit of debt but for a season or 2 let the game try and level things out

we can't reward people for nonsense like that. the league is bigger than any one of us. he can quit and then i'd be happy to relieve all the debt for a new owner. but relieving it cause he fucked up and he wants a do over? no thanks.

It was like 118 mil budget, 275 mil payroll. A legitimate concern for the league. We've put minor measures in to prevent it moving forward with the commish somewhat monitoring it.

For the sake of the boards and the lack of Robs presence, I wouldn't be opposed to a get out of jail free card. Only condition for me would be he brings back some of the Rob board fire

I think if the owner wants to give you 120 million let him. whats the big deal. I spent a bunch of cash to win the past 3-4 season and now im dumping guys because i have to resign my young guys. Why should we be punished for trying to win and spending money? If my owner wants to give me 75 mil I should be able to keep it. You don't see MLB asking the Yankees, hey guys you can only give your team 50 mil and they have to figure out the rest. Let him get whatever his owner gives him. My .02
