This morning I interviewed for an assistant principal/AD job at a local high school. Two hours later the superintendent called and offered me the job and I accepted. All that is left now is for the two schools to coordinate my release and being able to start my new job.

It's about 24 miles due east on one of the state highways. That qualifies as "local" here. They're in our conference and also our sectional so I'll still get to see my team play. Giving up coaching is the hardest part of this. We're set to be very good the next few years and should win the school's first sectional since 1985.

Despite that fact that you're a nice calm guy when people get to know you, something about getting sent to the 7 foot tall principals office will likely scare the shit out of most of the kids... So you'll have that going for you, which is nice.
