Niddler has helped set up an NDL one and I think with the AIM announcement of it ending, we can utilize that as a messaging app as needed.
WE WILL NOT LET THE BOARDS DIE THOUGH!!!!!
I can't wait for you guys to start using Slack and having the conversations that take 4 hours and 2 pages to take you 10 minutes and realizing it's a superior form of communication. The shit talking will be literally next level. Productivity is about to go waaaaaaay up!
From my other league, there's a downside to the more chat-themed version of Slack though. I can always easily catch up with the posts on this board. With the chat nature of Slack, I can leave for 3 hours and come back to 200+ messages. While that seems great, I'm just not reading all of that, so I end up reading less.

Ya I feel you on that. Though if setup with multiple channels it's easy for said person to filter out or ignore what they don't want to see. I never set foot in my off-topic channel.

It is just another option that is available with AIM going away.
For the record, those 2 cannot go away. It will let you leave them, but then you won't see if someone posts in there.
They are pre populated by the system and I could not find a way to delete them.
