Free Agent Compensation
Add in a Sandwich round between rounds 2 & 3. Teams will receive a draft pick for any unsigned Comp Eligible players. Draft order will be determined by the previous year standings. Teams will receive their regular sandwich pick between rounds 1 & 2 for any players that is signed.

Re: Free Agent Compensation
We have comp eligible guys sit in FA till after the draft then get signed because someone doesn't want to lose a draft pick. A team offers a qualifying offer hoping to resign the guy at $12M but he opts for FA. That team hopes to get a comp pick since the guy should be signed, but in our league a lot of owners are weary of losing that draft pick to sign a comp eligible player.nick wrote:lol wot

Re: Free Agent Compensation
There are so many holes in this idea. The main one being Team A offers their 38 year old pitcher in hopes of actually signing him. He declines, sits in FA and then becaue he doesn't get signed Team A now gets a sandwich pick in between rounds 2 and 3. No thanks.

Nobody is offering a 38 year old $12M unless the guy deserves it and still contributes.BigRy wrote:There are so many holes in this idea. Re: Free Agent Compensation
That is not the point. So you offer him with good intentions because you know he is good for your team for another year. He declines it, no one else is going to sign him and lose pick so now a draft pick is given out, nope not gonna happen.GeorgesGoons wrote:Nobody is offering a 38 year old $12M unless the guy deserves it and still contributes.BigRy wrote:There are so many holes in this idea. Re: Free Agent Compensation
So, I shouldn't post my poll about adding to league involvement by having you count every time a team exports during the season and granting them an extra $100k in game revenue and posting a smiley next to their name in the daily morning status?wdoupis wrote:Jesus Christ guys just stop
