Thats the balance I am having a hard time negotiating.

Tons of IFA/IC talent out there moveable in a trade but way too risky to trade a player like Marino for a 16 year old that may completely bust and send me another 10 years into a rebuild.

They can be part of packages but not the only pieces if you will.

you have to work on your material. this same ol excuse it tiresome, especially when i told you youd be trash in 3 seasons, like 3 seasons ago, because my scout saw it. And your scout saw a great team (as u always said derp scout variation) and yet here we are, and you're not good.

Plus who really uses the scouts? You look at the production in the minors and use that. Plus everyone knows at this point the number i showed isnt correct and the true scouting report is inside. Im sure you knew this.. right?

Getting away from Shel vs Nick and being realistic, that's an important factor. You simply can't expect IFAs/teenagers to hit their potential ratings at the same rate as 20+ year old prospects, not in this game.


There's always going to be more bust potential with IFAs and teenagers in general. And the bulk, putting it nicely, of Nick's good prospects are in his IFA crop. And yes, that does appear to just be his IFAs.
