Notre Dame and non power 5 conferences would have to be treated as they are now. Mom power 5 gets an auto bid in a new years day bowl if they are too 12 right? Notre Dame gets the same if they are too 8? Can't recall off the top of my head

Tua’s on the cart. Looks like a busted up face AND reinjured his ankle.

Dude is becoming one of those “injury proned” type fellas.

How are they meaningless? We can say the same for High School football as well. At least here they are given the opportunity to earn a degree as well.

Once you’re a proven commodity with generational security set up, playing in football games for free for the sake of “college pageantry” and “team first” mentality is naive at best and reckless by the coaches at worst. These dudes should immediately shut it down once they are sure fire early picks. Money isn’t everything in life but if their ultimate goal is to play at the next level then you don’t risk it.

Nobody is going to advise them to do this because nobody benefits other than the player if they shut it down

I agree wholeheartedly with you but until someone sets that tone and is the first to do it, they will be outcasted and could cost themselves millions right now in draft slot.

The Fournettes and others who missed the bowl game don’t count.
As a fan I hate it but get it.

At the same time I believe that speaks of your character to quit on a school that gave you the opportunity. I think it would be a horrible precedent to set by someone.

Injured already, up 35-7, and they left him in. Not super smart. Seems like they probably could have beaten MSU with Mac Jones starting and an FCS team next week.

Even if you felt like you needed him to start and get reps, you’re up 35-7... can’t imagine Mac Jones blows that...

I feel bad for Tua but not for bama in this scenario. Take him out. No need to risk something like this

Doesn’t speak to anything as that school gives 2 shits about you besides $$$

“Gave you the opportunity”. Please.

Schools don’t give 2 fucks about you

It says nothing about your character to make the best decisions for yourself and your family. That mentality is the type of narrative the oppressors have used on naive people for years. Talking nonsense like “loyalty” and “bigger than you” and “team first”. It’s all bullshit that’s spewed at people to keep them from realizing that when youre the asset you control and have all the power.

You think the school gives them the opportunity because they care so much about the kids or because the kids are free labor that gives them millions of dollars?

The schools aren't loyal to the player, so why does the player need to be loyal in return in order to have high character?

Nick Saban - when asked about keeping in Tua Tagovailoa up 35-7 saying “we don’t worry about players getting hurt,” and then in the commercial break he’s pitching an insurance product ... because you have to worry about what might happen if you get hurt.

I thought you were fucking around when you said it was a hip injury. I looked on line right before you said that and they said a sprained ankle and bloody nose

You are thinking of only a handful of schools. Not each school is raking in millions of dollars.

But this is where I am different than most. If you make a commitment you honor it, that is why I say it speaks of your character. I'm guessing my background has helped form this opinion for me

Who would have guessed Indiana being 7-2, playing at 8-1 Penn State AND having a shot at still winning. Quite the longshot but still a shot

Should be questioning the coaches character more:
About 19% of college athletic trainers reported in a recent survey that a coach played an athlete who had been deemed "medically out of participation," according to results released Tuesday by the National Athletic Trainers' Association that reveal concerns about college coaches having too much influence in medical decision-making.

19% is low as hell from what I thought it would have been. I bet it's closer to 30% if not higher.
