Nick, have you tried the OOTP Hockey sim?

probably a few years ago. it wasnt good.

I tried it also, didn;t like it. I've read FHM 6 is pretty good but based off my first experience Im holding off for now.

I’m pretty sure its the same company that makes Football (soccer) Manager right? Football Manager is pretty damn good, although a good but different than OOTP, with a lot more focus on day to day atuff and actually in game managing

Honestly getting the itch to do a single player OOTP game, never actually played it before offline. Only played OOTP on my phone

its the best sim ever made.

Only thing I don’t love about it is the day to day stuff. I don’t really like planning out training or even really managing the games. I like to do the higher up stuff, but other than that its solid. Way more intricate that OOTP, but i guess that comes with soccer being more complex to turn into a simulation type game

For those of you (Billy) wondering about my strategy with Pat Jones... it's simple ... if he cant get to a ball, he cant make an error on it.
Error free so far in 4 positions. But yeah - the CF experiment isnt working. Anyone with that kind of speed needs to seriously have some kind of range tho ... even if he doesnt know how to break on a ball to CF.

Except he is 92 in errors so the one thing he is good at on D is avoiding errors. Dude is a future MVP type guy, stop ruining him and just let him DH and dominate for a decade.

Haven't played it since FHM2, but FHM2 was pretty mediocre.

Every new version of OOTP that comes out I start a new franchise.


But I never really get past year 1, just get bored with it.

I wish there was a way to figure out how to keep it interesting for me.
