"Spitters lock up the AL East"

Re: 2069 Season Thread... The Herro We Needed
So, I feel my team has made a MAJOR turn around since last season. We finished with the 4th worst record in the league with only 57 wins. This year we are currently sitting at 89 wins (with 13 games left) which is (at this point) a 32 win turnaround in only one season. So, this got me thinking . . . what is the biggest turn around in the NDL history. So . . . I checked (quick scan actually, so if you feel I missed your franchise, correct me please) and this is what I found:
Montreal +56 (2060-2061)
Boston +50 (2056-2057) - was this the infamous Boston draft era?
Miami +44 (2018-1019)
Sheltown +39 (2041-2042)
Checked the MLB and the best turnaround was:
Arizona Diamondback+35 (1998-1999)
Montreal +56 (2060-2061)

Playoffs will begin Tuesday at 8 PM CST... My work schedule has changed so this CAN NOT go more than 3 hours so have your stuff ready. If it is not done by 11 PM CST then we stop and finish the next night. We are usually right at 3 hours so it should not be a problem if everyone is prepared and does not micro manage the shit out of this
Juan Rosales has a 3 HR game in a win over San Francisco
Pedro Sanchez signs a 2 year extension with Miami
Greeks win the AL West
Juan Rosales AL POTW hitting .476 with 4 HRs
Michael Gorman NL POTW hitting .444 with 6 HRs

Greeks took 2 of 3 from LA and swept Houston. We like Jameson Webby, I’ll pm the address
Re: 2069 Season Thread... The Herro We Needed
LV will likely fall short of the playoffs but hung in the race until the last week. Needs 1 win to clinch a .500 record. If we can ever find someone they are going to walk in to a nice looking situation
Re: 2069 Season Thread... The Herro We Needed
100 wins for NE and Cannon breaks the organizational record for WAR in a season (assuming he doesn’t have a -.2 WAR in the last week)

Re: 2069 Season Thread... The Herro We Needed
Sheltown and Boston hot putting PO in their rightful spot in the division

Re: 2069 Season Thread... The Herro We Needed
I have a feeling these playoffs are not going to go well for Edmonton.
Re: 2069 Season Thread... The Herro We Needed
AL playoffs are literally a complete roll of dice.
Two teams that get the bye have a huge advantage but the quality of teams is basically even amongst all 6 from my eyes.
If I was to put odds on it I’d say Richmond is favorite with or without a bye.
Miami is good enough to make a run w their top arms if they get hot but the bats seem to be too hot/cold
Cincy is as talented as anyone in the entire league but the bullpen has been suspect
Philly is built for small ball grind it out playoff games it seems with really good pitching.
Edmonton has been near top of power rankings all year and has top statistical pitching in AL currently
NE smashes and has some decent arms but not of the caliber of some of the other top teams. We need to win w our bats and thats much harder to do in playoffs when everyone throwing a top flight pitcher. Becker injury also puts a whole in the armor
Richmond has top hitting statistically and best starting pitcher statistically this year. They are playing best ball down stretch (34-12 in last 2 months) and that’s why they’d be my favorites

Also, all of Edmonton's infielders have at least a 4 WAR on the season. Not bad considering it's 2 rookies and 1 sophomore.
Re: 2069 Season Thread... The Herro We Needed
Joseph Sexton sets a career high in RBI with 119 at the age of 34.
Bama has 7 games vs. above .500 teams: Omaha (4), @LV(3) and is trailing NJ by two games for that last spot.
New Jersey has Winterfell(4) and Washington(3).
A miracle is gonna have to happen for Bama to reach the playoffs.

Re: 2069 Season Thread... The Herro We Needed
I’d agree but with not much confidence. Eric Long has really helped right the ship after the Robert Anderson injury. I need the bats to do what they do and for Lugo and Lewis to dominate and I can hang with anyone.
I kinda have this feeling George will be hanging up banner #2

Funny! I don't even think I'll get the bye which is needed to get to the NLCS.

Re: 2069 Season Thread... The Herro We Needed
i couldn't tell you a thing about the NL so my analysis was strictly from AL side of it

I don't know anything about the NL either so I won't give any analysis

Re: 2069 Season Thread... The Herro We Needed
