2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
Welcome to the new season thread and a new decade as we enter the 2070s. Once again congrats to our first time champion the Edmonton mounties, well done Roggie. Also congrats to a hell of a turnaround and playoff run in Houston where they were just 4 outs from becoming a first time winner as well. It was a great playoffs all the way around coming off a wide open season that had 8-10 real contenders to win it all.
As always, now is the time to post any winter meeting topics that you may have and please if you are unsure of how something works or unsure if something is possible please discuss it with me prior to making a winter meeting poll.
We have a couple boring sims here but lets all knock out those team options and Arbitration before we get to free agency. This is usually a fun trading time and I'll be trying to make some moves myself so lets get after it fellas and have a great 2070 season!!!!!!!

Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
I still think OSA is light years ahead of our scouts in terms of accuracy.
Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
I sure hope this is the case cuz I used to almost solely draft on OSA...so now I'm trying to go straight scout but my scout hates most of my farm while OSA is still loving most of my previous picks

Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
I don't think going straight anything is the answer. Ever since the early 2040s when I learned wtf I was doing in this game I've looked for guys that my scout and OSA both like. Maybe not at the same level but at least like. I think its the way to go. There are plenty of OSA busts as well.

That and the stats have to match up. I'll pass on a guy if OSA and my scout have him a 60's rated guy but can never hit above the Mendoza line.

Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada

Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
Gotta sign those unproven guys and hope they turn out. I signed Robert Light (Boston Rob's draftee name change when we did that) when he was unproven and now 7 years later he has a great reputation and the pitching staff has gotten better.

Re: 2070 Season Thread.... Oh Canada
that's pretty vague....."gotten better"GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 1:13 pm

I'm also not giving my MLB staff 7 years to "get better"
these guys in the personnel pool who are "below average" or whatever the rating is should be retired
