At first Mayor Hancock said dispenseries and liquor stores would be closed starting today. So, most of Denver promptly drove to every liquor store or dispensary. Re: Random Discussions
I was looking at world populations this morning and a few things surprised me. In general, I knew India/China were significantly more populated than the US, but didn't quite realize by how much. Also, some of the growth in places like Pakistan, Nigeria, Ethiopia, and DR Congo is incredible.
Data source:
https://www.worldometers.info/world-pop ... y-country/
- China has ~4.5x more people on similar land area as the US.
- India has just over 3x more people on 1/3 of the land area as the US.
- Median age in the US is 38. China is also 38. India (28), Pakistan (23), Nigeria (18), Bangladesh (28), Ethiopia (19), DR Congo (17)
- Fertility rate in the US is 1.8, China is 1.7. 11 countries, almost all in Africa, exceed 5. Niger leads the way with 7.
- Not surprisingly, most of these countries are among 15-20 other countries (again, mostly in Africa) that lead in population growth... beyond 2.5%.
- 12 listed countries have a population density that exceeds 1,000 people per square KM. Of these, Bangladesh is the only country with more than 100m people. They have 1,265 people per square KM.

Greater than 2% growth every year since 1960. From 45m then to 206m now. 400m is nuts.

Get up in the morning and not early afternoon?
It's called adulting. I can go to bed at 1am and still wake up at 6am without an alarm clock.

Re: Random Discussions
My sleep habits have been far worse during this quarantine. Consistently on 2k until well after midnight. Not having to drive into work saves me an hour each morning... but staying up 2-3 hrs later isn't my wisest decision.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 8:32 amGet up in the morning and not early afternoon?

I'll get up between 530 and 6 damn near every day for weeks on end. And then I get a day where I catch up on all missed sleep and sleep in till 9.

Normally, NORMALLY
4am four days a week. Now that the gyms are closed down I'm kind of digging this sleeping in though.
