Hey, we can make our own pulp, our pulp is tremendously good. I always said that Americans make best pulp. Did you see Pulp Fiction? Very good. Huge. Made by Quentin “Taranto,” I know him by the way. Good guy, great guy. Not as rich as me, but a good guy. I have the most valuable properties in the world. I am very rich.
He made his own mistake by allowing Jared Kushner to talk at all
The website of the Strategic National Stockpile was edited on Friday to soften language about how the stockpile is supposed to be used by states -- a day after media outlets reported that the original version contradicted a claim by senior White House official Jared Kushner.
Kushner, President Donald Trump's senior adviser and son-in-law, said at Thursday's coronavirus briefing that states themselves have medical equipment stockpiled -- and argued that "the notion of the federal stockpile was it's supposed to be our stockpile; it's not supposed to be state stockpiles that they then use."
Journalists and others quickly pointed out that the federal stockpile's own website made clear Kushner was wrong.
Georgia Department of Public Health reported an 11 year old died of COVID. Once people started asking questions and doing some digging, they retracted and said there is no 11 year old who died of COVID.
The governor of Connecticut said a 6 week old died from complications due to COVID. Some digging was done, and the infant allegedly died from an accident, and now it has been walked back, stating they don't know how the child died.
Makes you wonder how many other cases that were highly publicized weren't really so. lots of reports or rumors out there that dead people are being tested for COVID, and if they test positive they are counted in the COVID death count even if their deaths were unrelated to COVID. That seemed highly unbelievable until the 2 stories above about the 2 young kids.

I'd hope it's misinformation and not disinformation, but regardless of intent, stuff like this has ramifications. Unfortunately retractions are never as widespread as the original story.

I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of these people who blame the president for downplaying it at first, while they did the same.

Your mental gymnastics is hilarious man.
How is pointing out people that said Trump didn't take it serious at first "mental gymnastics?" They were doing the same thing. But go ahead and oppose at all costs, it's working for you guys

But it doesn't matter what the "other" guys were doing that's the point you're missing. One is the literal head of the government responsibility begins and ends with him. But you thinks it's ok to write off his actions based on the grade school logic of but look at what the other guys were doing to....

There you go, let's just assume what everyone thinks since they don't have your particular view on a subject. The whole reasoning of that post was to point out that at the beginning nobody took it as serious as it ended up being, but those same people (Pelosi and DeBlasio as well as others) have questioned Trumps initial reaction. Hell, the W.H.O. even said it couldn't be transmitted from person to person at the beginning (probably more pandering to the Chinese government than anything else though).

Except there were a large number of people that were taking it seriously because, you know, there were lots of people dying other places and most other people didn't have the belief that it would just "disappear" here...
