Legit just finished the 2nd 2 hour session session of a Monopoly game(Pugopoly version) with the family.

I went out, only took 4 hours for the first person to drop.

Don't buy hotels. Just buy up to four houses (on anything you can get your hands). There are only 32 houses available in the game and, no, you're not allowed to use little scraps of paper or shit. That's it. Even if you only have one monopoly, hoarding 12 of the 32 houses is a huge benefit. If you should happen to get two monopolies, you won. That leaves only 12 houses for everyone else. Stop at nothing to get a Monopoly. Trade everything. It's like real life. My landlord owns two houses on the same block and there are only five. He didn't buy one house and then buy a textile store in Vermont.

Game ends really quickly then, usually when they quit all pissed off. I learned that trick at my old bar when four guys played for real money. Boy were they pissed.

Yep, all those tricks as well as the orange properties are actually the most valuable.

I'm aware generally of all the tricks of the game, but it still comes down to a ton of luck.

We fired up another game tonight, my wife and I got wiped out in 1 hour, and it's just my 2 boys left lol. They will not trade a darn thing if it gives another person a monopoly, which isn't exactly a bad idea. But they also team up against the wife and I and work together.

We used to play monopoly for real money all the time in high school. Shit would get heated w trades too. Trade a "free drop", ie if I land on your property I get free rent once. Then that "free drop" gets traded like a late first rounder. Great times
