You take pride in where you live at the expense of anywhere else because you don’t have much else to tout as positive in your life. Hence why whenever you have a negative opinion about anything you always, and I mean always, have to mention it...even when you’ve already said it 100 times before.

You also constantly tout your hourly wage on the board for some validation from others that was you are doing has value. That’s the Dr. Dan evaluation.

Well depends what you think are children.. Im not going to scrub a Grade 6s room with shit on the floor because they choose to be lazy.. but obviously the day cares and kintergardens are immaculate.

I take pride in my work. Its just work tho. Working custodian doesnt break me down physically like other labor jobs were doing, and now I have the financial means to invest/take on risks I wanted to do.

Another real beauty was I had my class lined up at the drinking fountain getting drinks and one of my students tells me she's about to throw up. But she didn't make it far at all and puked all over the hallway, janitor walks by, in front of the whole claas and states " I ain't cleanin that shit up!"...but of course she did.

I cant speak for other states/provinces.. but all things considered we get paid great. I only became a janitor cause its easy and pays amazing, has great benefits .. an incredible pension etc etc..

The problem with a lot of janitors is this was their first job outta HS so theyre 10+ yrs in but this is all theyve done.. So theyll complain and its like, you have no fucking idea how great you have it. I worked a min wage job putting nails in plastic bins and every night id sneeze out green paint. We're getting paid almost double min wage to do a mundane but simple job.. Suck it up.

So me personally..cleaning up puke/shit is nothing.
