This is gonna be right up George's alley.
So one(of the many) mother's to one of Dwight Howard's kids died recently.
I read 1 tweet and 1 article about it. Both the tweet and the first paragraph fo the article referenced COVID and the pandemic. She did not die of COVID, nor did the tweet or the 1st paragraph article mention what she died of.
The tweet made it seem so obvious she died of COVID that I assumed she did, then I was confused reading the comments. So I went out and found an article and the 1st paragraph made me even more confused. Then finally I kept reading and realized she died from a seizure, unrelated to COVID.
I think you might need more then one news article to pump up the media false narrative stuff no? I just googled Dwight Howard and every article that popped up was clear his daughter died from a siezure.
Is it not common knowledge now a days that anything coming from Twitter is pretty much garbage?
You didn't read what he said. He never said she died of COVID. He said it was referenced, there was zero reason for it to be referenced. I read 3 articles, SI, ESPN and USAToday, 2 of the 3 it was referenced in the first paragraph.
ESPN and USAToday didn't reference the seizure until the 2nd paragraph.
SI referenced the seizure in the first paragraph.

If you can't acknowledge that tweet makes things a bit confusing, then you're really not even trying and you're just looking to disagree for the sake of disagreeing.

I wasn't referring to Twitter sorry for the confusion.
I was talking about Georgie thinking the mere mention of covid 19 means there is some nefarious motive by the media in the articles about Dwight Howard's baby momma.
I mean if all the articles headlines lead you to believe she died from covid then I can see your guys point. But just mentioning that Dwight howard is currently sheltering in place at his home due to covid is not some media conspiracy is all I'm saying

Are you reading only parts of each post?
I can read an article with an objective mind. There was zero reason to mention COVID before the cause of death when the article iwas written because she died.
Did anyone think there wouldn't be additional cases from reopening?
The whole point of quarantine was so hospitals wouldn't be overwhelmed, in Texas(and virtually all places) they weren't, so that specific goal was accomplished.
Seems you're either moving the goalposts or not truly understanding the original intent of the lockdown.
If the goal or what you think should happen is to quarantine until there's a cure, that was never a realistic option.
A quick peak looks like testing is up about 50% ish from the couple of weeks before reopening compared to the couple of weeks since reopening.
The day before reopening had a 6.6% positive test rate in Texas. The last day I can find the data for is for 5/15, and the positive rate is 5.02%.
Texas is arguably doing better now as they're identifying more positives cases and that case rate was probably similarly high pre reopening which is obviously good to know who is positive, but the positive rate is lower.
the only narrative I personally have is the longer this goes the better off I am long term. If it goes a year, I could probably get a house for 500k that used to be 850k+. I have my full pay and so does my family. Life's good. Only worry is dying from it but you guys said it best I wont im only 33.
So ya fuck it. go back to work. I dont care I win either way.
