Nah my fan interest was already at 100. This is the second straight year that someone has waived/released an elite reliever that was cheap and could be stashed on the 60 day DL. Why not take a chance that he doesn't die and then you can resign him cheap for future years. If Hogan dies so be it, I'm only out 1.5 mil.

I had zero plans to re-sign him. Plus I'd rather take the fan interest hit now where I can gain it back over the season vs during the offseason which will affect my season ticket sales. He'll also be 36 and the literal definition of a bandaid. I knew it was a risk signing him but I've got a very deep pen so if he gets hurt, meh, if not, he's pretty fucking good when he's not hurt.
