Watched a little bit of "Meet the Press" this morning. The interview with the Republican Senator from Wisconsin was interesting to listen to. Chuck Todd point blank asked him who won in his state and he said Biden, but there are issues in Wisconsin. Lol.

What was his explanation of needing to investigate the election even though there is no proof of widespread fraud?

In summary of his response: This didn't start with the election this year, it started with the Democrats investigation of Trump and Russia/Ukraine. This started with the impeachment. This started with blah, blah, blah...

So am I right to say our political leaders are mounting a charge to object to the electoral votes, because there was constant pressure put on the republicans during Trumps administration? Republicans are fucking themselves with this. If they lose the Senate, they can 100% blame themselves with this nonsense and the lack of $2000 checks to everyone (whether right or wrong fiscally). I've said it right after the elections, Trump needs to concede otherwise it hurts republicans in 2022/2024.

As far as him saying this is a byproduct of the democrats of the last 4 years on how they treated this presidency....I can understand that. But two wrongs don't make a right.

Some will say Trump was trying to get the SoS of Georgia to find him enough votes to win Georgia. Others will say he was trying to get the SoS to get rid of votes that shouldn't be counted, which in turns gives him enough votes to win the state.

I think that is about as simple as you can make it.

I just want Jan 20th to get here so we can be done and get ready for the 2022/2024 elections. Trump is hurting the republican party with this crap. But I also think there is a huge faction of the republican party that wants more of what trump offered in terms of policy so we may get a new sub party of republicans (think tea party).
