Change to Contract Extension Rule

I want to start off by saying I am not pushing this change, just curious what guys think and I think it has potential to be better. Right now our rule is we can extend guys once they have 2 years ML service time AND are in their final year of 480k. While OOTP21 has done much better at these extensions and it is not as bad as it used to be you still can get some really sweetheart deals (look at my SP Herman Cota.) What I propose is a minor tweak and changing it to 3 year ML service time and must be awarded Arb once prior to being extension eligible. This still gives you 3 years of control to negotiate the extension and I think make things a little better for us.

By all means debate away but please if someone disagrees it does not mean they are a fucking idiot or any of that. Like I said, I am not pushing this but something I think could potentially be good for us.

Lastly, if this does pass it will go in to effect next offseason so this years group of players will fall under current rules.
