I'm on the new updated version now, but it's stating there's no file on the server.

If it says there is no new file on the server, go into your settings folder and delete the online_league_file_time.cfg file.
This will force the game to download whatever is on the server.

Downloaded the patch and tried to download like normal and was still getting the server error.

Did this above from Niddler and then tried downloading again and it was good to go.

That file tells your game what file you are on for the in-game date. If you delete that file, your game has no clue what in-game date it is on compared to what is on the server and it forces it to download whatever is on the server.

Niddler is the goat. I’d pin or edit your post with a different color / font size so ppl see it and can fix their issue. .

It can be found in the Tips and Tricks post in the Admin Section of OOTP.
Been there since at least 2018.

If you are trying to download the new file once the commissioner states that the sim has completed and you get a message that no new file exists on the server:

1. Close your OOTP game.
2. Navigate to your saved_game folder (NDL.lg)
3. Go into that folder.
4. Now find the Settings folder.
5. Delete the "online_league_file_time.cfg" file.
6. Now re-open OOTP.
7. Now try to download the file from the server again.
