Draft Spreadsheet

Post by The_Niddler »

I wanted to share a spreadsheet that I finally got working where it updates automatically.

You can find the spreadsheet here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

You will want to download this to your own, not use the one that I have up there as it is a live document and everyone will be able to see your changes and will be changing the same spreadsheet.

I use this sheet to build my draft list in Stats Plus.
Once Dave allows Spreadsheets to be imported, I will edit it for that purpose, but until then, I use this.

I go in OOTP, go to the Draft Pool, then click on Report and choose Write report to disk.

This opens the list of players, by your scout, in a webpage.
You can then copy and paste this data into the spreadsheet out to the right.

You can then edit it how you would like and see the columns that you would like. I choose to look at the few things listed there.
You then copy the data from the right and paste it on the left.

During the draft, in the Picked column, it will list the players name if they have been selected and are no longer available.

The NDLLiveDraft tab will update automatically when draft picks are made.

There can be up to a 15 minute delay, but it will update.

You then know when it gets close to your time to pick, that if you go down the list on the left and in the picked column, you see someone that has not been picked, that is your next best available player.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Sorry guys, Images aren't working and my home internet died. Of course, the one day I have to work from home this week.
I will work on it as soon as the internet comes back up.

Pretty cool Niddler, especially when you can import it in to S+

Got the images fixed in the post above.
I like it because when my draft pick is about up, I can take a quick look and see who is left and do I want to adjust my list in Stats Plus.

This is really awesome. One suggestion for people is if you want the whole draft to show up make sure the settings Player/Coaches Lists is set to Scroll Bars.

I have mine set to Page Selector because it's causes less crashes for me but for writing the report to disk you want it Scroll Bars to get everyone.

It will also take into account your current filter as well. For example, for this specifically I just have a filter that shows all players who are greater than 20 POT and are NOT Impossible to sign.

Dave (StatsPlus) is hoping to have an upload option later this week for spreadsheets for draft lists.
It will be so nice if it works good.
