It's WOJ BOMB season!!!
The Lakers are near a deal to acquire Washington's Russell Westbrook for Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and a 2021 first-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

WOJ bombs don’t have the same effect when he sprays multiple “bombs”
Only one can be right
Only one can be right
Los Angeles Lakers center Montrezl Harrell is opting into his $9.7 million player option for next season, paving the way for the team to move toward completing a deal that would send forward Kyle Kuzma and Harrell to the Sacramento Kings for guard Buddy Hield, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski

Throw a bunch out and maybe one sticks

Re: NBA Thread
Trey Murphy looks like a great fit for the Pels. Elite shooter who should feast off teams throwing extra bodies and attention Zions way
Re: NBA Thread
I thought Murphy was a great value pick too. I think Raps fucked up taking Barnes over Suggs and I thought 6 was way too high for Giddy

Most talked about player on the NDL board from the draft is the one the Pels drafted, I like it!

Re: NBA Thread
My quick notes on the NBA draft...
- This draft will turn out better than last year's draft
- Cade Cunningham and Detroit feels like Grant Hill all over again.
- Absolutely love Jalen Green. Westbrook like talent with a better shot. I see 6-8 elite high school games in person each season and Jalen Green was the best HS player under 6'7 that I've ever watched in person and that includes seeing LaMelo as a sophomore @ Spire. I have no idea how he fits in with Kevin Porter.
- The Cavs got so lucky to land in the 3 spot and have Evan Mobley fall into their lap. It's a shame they are stuck with 2 short combo guards to run with him.
- I'm a big fan of Jalen Suggs. He reminds me of Mike Conley. I'm not a big fan of Suggs with Cole Anthony and the Magic. That team is a mess.
- Jonathan Kuminga and Jalen Green held their own in the G league together and I think it's going to pay off big time for Kuminga. Warriors would be thrilled if they drafted 19yo Andre Iguodala.
- A few headscratchers for me after that pick... F. Wagner to Orlando = blah. Davion Mitchell is an awesome dude and helluva defender... no idea how that works with the Kings and D. Fox.
- Kai Jones is a great athlete, but as usual, no clue WTF the Knicks are doing. They take an uber-athletic 4 that doesn't have much of an offensive game, while they've got J. Randle, O. Toppin, M. Robinson and probably someone else I'm forgetting in the 4/5 rotation.
- Hawks nailed it with Jalen Johnson. It'll be interesting to see if they pull the trigger on Collins now.
- I think the 76ers had a sneaky good draft, but we won't know much about it this year. In the late first, they grabbed 18yo Jaden Springer, who checks all of the boxes to develop into better version of Jordan Clarkson. That's a solid hit at this point of the draft. They snagged 2 bigs in the 2nd round. 1st they took Fillip Petrusev, who we may not see this year. He was at Gonzaga but left during the pandemic. He crushed it when he got back home and continued to develop. I could see him hanging out there for another year. He's got a really nice upside and there isn't a rush to play him behind Embiid. Then you've got Charles Bassey, who was a top 10 recruit coming into college, oddly ended up at WKU, then got injured. He's trained with Embiid's trainer for the last 2-3 years and Morey is a huge fan of him. He's also got some extended range that he's been working on, which he really didn't flash in college. The 76ers draft reminds me a bit of the old Spurs drafts.
ROY: Cade Cunningham - While I think Green is awesome, Houston has a lot of overlap. Meanwhile, I believe Cunningham is going to be the man from day 1 in Detroit and it's not like they've got a lot up there to eat into his production. Mobley would be the 1 that can challenge him, but that only happens if Kevin Love or Jarrett Allen aren't on the roster. Even then, I still think Cunningham walks away with it by a landslide. He should put up big numbers as a rookie.

When Chris Paul is done at 40 he will have made more than $446,000,000 from his NBA contracts.
