You need to get a keg-o-rator and then buy from your local breweries.

Woo another lockdown coming soon
Re: Random Discussions
Listen to me sound stupid on a NASA podcast. It's really hard to think about what you want to say and then say it (you aren't being "interviewed" by the host, you are asked questions in a separate conversation by someone that works on the podcast production and the splice it all together):

I work for Northrop - we're the prime contractor for the Webb telescope. So, NASA is "in charge" for the satellite but we basically did all the design, analysis, and build (with other subcontractors).
Re: Random Discussions
That’s pretty damn cool. It’s almost like when you speak about stuff we should listen. Well some of us do.
Re: Random Discussions
Why is there a school/mall shooting seemingly every week in America? Maybe you folks should get this gun shit figured out.

I got my first expulsion as a principal under my belt last week. Kid brought a hatchet to school in his backpack.

Lol. No, he’s from one of the better families in town. It’s a 92. I’d never really considered putting a gun rack in a lumina but it works.ReignOnU wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 9:09 pm...then drove home in his '84 Chevy with his 12 gauge in the gun rack.LetsGoPeay wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 8:35 pm I got my first expulsion as a principal under my belt last week. Since 2009, Americas had 288 school shootings or 24/year or roughly one every 2 weeks.
The closest country in that time? Mexico with 6
Stop acting like it’s not a problem.
Re: Random Discussions
its for sure a problem. I don't thinks its just a weapon problem though. A lot of it is a parenting problem.
You'd be astonished at the sheer amount of 'mental health issues' young kids have nowadays.
say what you will, the pandemic didn't help things

Re: Random Discussions
It’s a weapon problem. Are we gonna act like other countries don’t have bad parents? I don’t see shootings at a every other week level in any country, including third world ones.
Re: Random Discussions
Ontario was the most locked down province/state in the world. We had 0 shootings in schools.
Enough with the excuses.
Also shootings have been going down at this rate since 2009. 10 years before the pandemic excuse could even be used.

Re: Random Discussions
your statistics are skewed though. For instance, one "school shooting" happened to be a parent at a basketball game, she reached in her purse and the gun went off. Nobody hurt.
Another "school shooting" happened in a parking lot after two rival schools got into an altercation after the game and a gun was pulled and used.
You are acting like we are having active shooters in schools at an alarming rate. That's not happening and if you looked up the shootings you'd see that. It's the same with "mass shootings" that the media loves to get people riled up about.
As AJ said, this is usually a parenting problem. Or lack of parenting to be precise. Couple lack of parenting and poverty you'll get this kind of violence.

By that definition this happens quite a bit just in Omaha alone with gang violence.Gun Violence Archive, frequently cited by the press, defines a mass shooting as firearm violence resulting in at least four people being shot at roughly the same time and location, excluding the perpetrator.Using this definition, there have been 2,128 mass shootings since 2013, roughly one per day.

Re: Random Discussions
You are lumping that in with a school shooting. That isn't a school shooting at all. It's a careless gun owner. You only want to see what you want to believe is true. You don't care about facts at all.
