Re: NFL Thread
Mike Tomlin is easily the most overrated coach in the NFL. Matt Canada is dog shit too

OBJ was punching dudes in the ass. He sure has changed
Re: NFL Thread
It was odd… up until this week I was still holding out hope on playoffs so the fact it was the end wasn’t hitting me. Then we basically got mathematically eliminated so it shifted to Ben last home game narrative.
It’s time to move on so that part of it I’m not too sad. He’s definitely held us back recently but he’s been a huge part of my life and brought me some of the highest highs I’ve ever had as a sports fan.
I wouldn’t say I’m sad to see it end but I’m certainly thankful for the years. I’ll likely never see another qb have that type of run as Steelers qb in my lifetime

Crazy to think I watched him play in high school once, and now he'll be done. One of 3 players that I got to see in high school at least once make it to the NFL. Orlando Pace and Charlie Frye were the other two.

Re: NFL Thread
I loved Matt Canada when he was the OC at IU. He did a lot of creative stuff and really kept defenses off balance with his play calling. Supposedly he’s a real dickhead though and very difficult to work with.

Re: NFL Thread
I pull for a lot of local/Ohio guys regardless of the team they are on, but Ben isn't that guy. It has nothing to do with being a Steeler. He's just a supreme dick. Probably not all his fault, considering his upbringing, but my experiences with him left a bad taste in my mouth. Both encounters were playing basketball vs him, but others that know him on a more personal level have said that it's consistent. I've got 2 friends that I used to work out with that played w/him at Miami, as well as my brother-in-law who played all 3yrs w/him.
Is what it is though... asshole or not, he's a hall of famer.

I was so mad when I wrote that overrated tomlin stuff.. i still think hes average but i digress... plus doubt he cares about my opinion..
Matt canada tho.. fire that guy into the sun. How does Big Ben have nearly 50 pass attempts with a under 3 YPA??? And Najee has 150 yards/carry.

Re: NFL Thread
Ben is a corpse being rolled out for games. He has been unwilling to throw a ball past 7 yards for 2 years now. He was never the best passer but always had the ability to get around pocket and wait for Hines or AB to break off a route and make a big play. When he lost mobility he turned into a check down charlie who occasionally would throw up a deep prayer to Claypool and hope it got caught. The offense was and is incredibly limited w Ben playing.
I didn’t mind Canada offense this year but without an o line or qb it’s hard to have any idea

Re: NFL Thread
I haven't followed Pitt much so with that being said, do they have a viable backup? Have they even drafted a QB that can give them a couple of years before they find the right guy to replace Big Ben?DRiccio21 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 2:17 pm Ben is a corpse being rolled out for games. They have or had at one point, Landry Jones, Mason Rudolph, and Haskins. All young, but none that anyone would see as a full time replacement.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 2:53 pmI haven't followed Pitt much so with that being said, do they have a viable backup? It’s impressive. Then you bring up his 1 title that he got in his second year with Cowhers team..qazhby wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 3:29 pmTomlin has never had a losing season in the NFL lmaonick wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 1:41 pm I was so mad when I wrote that overrated tomlin stuff.. i still think hes average but i digress... plus doubt he cares about my opinion..

He’s also an incredible defensive minded coach. His offense is bad and the OC they hire is bad too.
I thought last year Darnold would be lock for Pitt to replace Ben, but lmao he’s moist. Pitt gets Rodgers and they’re probably favs to win it all

Deshaun Watson will be moving to Pittsburgh. It is the perfect fit for him.
