Thank you to everyone for your input thus far. You are all valued members of NDL as we respect each and everyone of your opinions.
The game has been out almost 4 weeks, the season has started and we've debated back and forth and every which way on how to best and most effeciently use the features on the new game in a way that most befits the spirit of competition AND sportsmanship that the NDL stands for.
With that being said, we are hence forth announcing official NDL stances in an effort to reduce/eliminate the "persuasive arguments" that have been popping up more than daily.
#1 - The only "banned" feature is the "key run". The rationale for this has been discussed in detail. Do a serach on the NDL boards if you need more info.
#2 - We are NOT banning jump snap or any other feature. If you ban jump snap, do you ban agressiveness for the line, do you ban impact running...then to turn around, do you ban more stuff on the defense? Do we ban all settings and ask everyone to play on "normal"? If we do that, how do you monitor it? When your hb fumbles on the 1st drive of the game or your opponent face masks you....how much will the idea that your opponent may be using ban features...yet you have no real qay to prove it come into effect?
Bottom line is there are features on the game that help/hurt your chances. Did ea do a good job of making it VERY even in a point / counterpoint fashion? No...but except for the Key run its nothing that is blatantly overdone. We all have access to the same features, which in the end puts everyone on a level playing field (and yes, we're aware that jump snap is less effectove for a bad/average team at a big time stadium.....well, thats kinda the point of having HFA at the bigtime stadium. If I take my C or B- team into the Swamp, I fully expect my fake snap to counter the jump snap to not be as effective as when im playing FIU in Miami
This leads us to the good old standby statement.....MODERATION

MODERATION
We wont even tout that aspect of the league and gameplay again. It should be fully well known what this entails.
On the final point, the counter for Moderation is COACHES REPORTS.
In an effort to assist making the coaches reports an even more powerful tool we will be inacting a new system in the next few days. The new system will make the lowest score possible a ZERO not a 1. This equates to approxiamtely 20 more points a single coach can impact a coach in which he finds to not be playing in the spirit of NDL.
With this new system, it will only take 3 coaches rating a coach as subpar quality for NDL to score that coach low enough to be placed on probation, demoted to the farm or dismissed from the league.
All the issues have been weight and voiced HEAVILY over the last few weeks. Everyone should have a good pulse for what should be used in moderation. If you do not seek the advice of your conference commish. Seek the advice of your opponent.
After your 6th game of the year, seek out your commish for a mid-year evaluation. The conf commished do NOT have access to the coaches reports...BUT if you make an inquisition to them, we will provide your commish (and your commish only) the info they need to give you a general status on what you need to improve on.
While we're here - again, lets get through on how important it is to leave CONSTRUCTIVE feedback if you have issue with a coach and are uncomfortable telling them after the game.
Again, thank everyone for your input and the part you play in making this a great league.
You are all appreciated. Even Hoos.
ps - enough with the 50000 threads....

Re: Official Announcement on 2010 features for Gameplay
Since this is a locked thread it probably falls below the radar rather quickly since most of us the "view new posts" link.
We'll bump it weekly or a few times to ensure everyone sees it as it contains very valuable information including
