SDSU wins in dramatic fashion on a QB run with 3 seconds left on the clock. This helped seal a 27-24 victory and a 9-3 record. SDSU also signed a 5* WR before the game. 2 losses vs Utah and BYU all in the top 15 in the last 2 games hurt their shots at a good bowl game.

If I have a game I won't be able to play until Sat. morning. I can't remember if my season is over or not. If I only have recruiting, I can do that tonight, but I doubt I will have time before I have to leave for bowling after work.

Temple pulls off the crazy upset of #16 Central Michigan. Heisman hopeful, LeFavour was pretty much shut down and that was our goal. We played ball control and kept it on the ground as much as possible. CMU took an early lead 3-0 but with an 88 yard kick return, Temple took it back on the next play with a 6 yard run. However, CMU scored to take the lead again on a pass by LeFavour. That would be his only passing touchdown though. Temple scored on their next posession to take the lead back and hold onto it after a CMU FG at the half, 14-13.

Nothing but punts in the 3rd Q

HB L. McPherson then carried the ball 10 consecutive times which ended with a 6 yd TD. Now up by 8, it rested on the defense. Then the play of the game as LeFavour was picked off by SS, D. Harris who went the distance to give Temple the 28-13 lead. CMU hurried up down the field to score on a QB scramble, but failed the 2-pt conversion. Temple ran out the clock and they are the MAC Champions! This was probably the most fun game I've played against the cpu without tons of gimmick BS...good times.

Good luck to UAB!

FIU finishes the season 10-3 with a 27-14 win over Tulsa in the New Orleans Bowl. Freshman RB Darrian Mallary had 29 carries for 90 yards and 3 scores. He replaced Senior Daunte Owens after he went down with a season ending injury halfway through the season. Mallary will be the starter as a true sophomore next season. QB Paul McCall ended with 3310 yards and 18 TD's. He graduates and Jr Wayne Younger will be the starter. He was only 7-10 for 89 yards. I lose my top scoring WR in Elliot Dix but return my top overall WR Ty Hilton, who will be a JR. He had 66 catches for 1189 yards. Kendall Berry, who was 4th in receptions will start at the other wideout. I lose my top tackler in Mannine Wellington. My top returning tackler had 39, Markeith Russell at ROLB. He will be a sophomore.

Looking forward to a new season!

Idaho finished 7-6 with a 35-28 loss in the New Mexico Bowl. Had control the entire 1st half and 3rd quarter, but I started to notice that my guys were just not in shape and we couldn't stop their run game. Had a chance with under 2 minutes to drive, but 3 straight sacks and it was over.

Signed 3 2-star players so far, looking at a few others, but I think I lost them because I kept forgetting to recruit in my bye weeks.

Temple shocks the world with a TRIPLE OVERTIME VICTORY over the #16 ranked WVU Mountaineers, 51-48! This one was so ridiculously intense and fun that it ranked as one of my best games versus the cpu. Temple had a big kick return for a TD by M. Brown after WVU's first score that really sent a message that the Owls were here to play. The big drive came with only :50 seconds left, Temple moved down the field and tied the game with only seconds left to send it to OT. TDs shared in first two OTs...then the defense came up big holding WVU to a FG in the 3rd OT. Season MVP, L. McPherson scored from 12 yards out, running in for the winning touchdown. The Owls finish their season 11-3, after a rough 3-3 start.

What's next is left up to the NCAA as the Owls would love a bid to move into the Big East and prove again that they can hang. Although it's been a tough recruiting year and Temple will lose some key seniors, the sky is the limit for these Owls to soar!

We have advanced to the end of the season.

1st off, congratulations to the following teams for improving to a 2-star prestige:
UAB
Temple
Western Michigan
San Diego State
FIU
North Texas
Idaho

Next step is the off-season (Players Leaving) I'm hoping that EA fixed the bug that caused you not to be able to talk guys into staying. Before I advance us to that step, I need to know if you plan on staying in your coaching position. Here's how things will work this first year:

1. Moving into a new conference (not sure if I can even edit conferences once the OD has started, will be trial and error. However, if it does it by itself or if I can, I will base this off of simming to the off-season offline. This most likely won't happen this season)

2. Changing teams (depending on your success)

*You may change teams to any other 1-star school any season
*If your prestige went up to 2-stars, you may change teams to any other 2-star school that season
*If you completed the following:
-Winning record
-Won your conference/Won bowl game
then you may change teams to a 3-star program.

The following coaches may change to a 2-star program (if they choose):
Cougnix - Idaho
ndlkdog - North Texas

The following coaches my change to a 3-star program (if they choose):
pounddarock - Temple 11-3 (MAC Champs/Bowl Champs)
champdizzle - FIU 10-3 (Sun Belt Champs/Bowl Champs)
ndloutlaw - UAB 11-3 (Bowl Champs)
texasfan4444 - SDSU 10-3 (Bowl Champs)
UCWeiser - WMU 7-6 (Bowl Champs)

The following coaches my change to a 1-star program (if they choose):
Buckeye76 - Army
magnum20 - Eastern Michigan
cnotes008 - Kent State

We lost two coaches in our transition: Dolemite has not been with us for a month now, assuming he's moved on. MWard86, while excited at first, just didn't have the time. So with that said, I've had interest by both Dr. Tom and 6ftdeep to join us. I'll get in touch with those guys and see what 1-star team they would like. If you would like to see which 1-star/2-star/3-star teams are available, you can go to the conference standings and view from there the prestige level of each school (this reflects the new levels for the 2010 season)
I encourage everyone to try to stick with their team for more seasons, but the option is out there. Please post here if you would like to stay or pack up and try elsewhere. Thanks for a great season and hopefully another one on the way!
