LOL, yes it did. Those pregame HD cameras werent kind to anyone. Reece Davis looked like he went from being 30 something to being ready for an old folks home.

Its because honestly he has no idea whats going on out there. Its sad to see with such a legend.There was a play when they didnt take the penalty and he asked his headset guy whats going on or why they didnt take the penalty.

Just him being there though is good for for the university. Doesnt really matter, Fisher is pretty much the coach anyways. Will be interesting to see who takes Andrews spot.

TiVo officially blows. I cannot believe I forgot to record the program after the Miami/FSU game. I started watching it today only for it to cut out with ten minutes left in the fourth quarter

just finished watching the game and glad I recorded it. Instant classic indeed. I hate Greg Reid, only because he choose FSU over UGA. He looked short though but great playmaker. Man, Miami has speed everywhere. Benjamin and Cooper are impact players indeed. I am happy for Shannon. Don't quote me but I actually hope the Canes do well and possibly win the ACC because of Shannon. JaCory Harris played his heart out, good for him. Future looks bright for the Canes indeed.

Yeh man.. Harris fits that mold of Vince Young. Some of the last second escapes he had relaly reminded me of Vince scrambling out of the pocket. I hope he can stay healthy because he has a chance to do big things.

How Reid ended up qualifying is beyond me. He was the first verbal commit for the 09 class and then the week of the UA game Tubberville tells kids they shouldn't commit early to schools and he decommits and things got wacky. He was a long shot to qualify, but it would have been nice to send him to prep school for a semester or so and have him count as part of the 2010 class.

You need the TIME. You spike it, then it's THIRD down. You need the downs and the time in that situation. Then you still have the option to run it on that first play. You try to get as many chances as you can.

But it WASN'T first down! They ran that option on second down. That's my point. But no matter, they shouldn't have wasted all that damn time.

Also, don't dog the kid too much. If you watch the replay in super-slow-mo, the ball actually hit his HELMET. It didn't go into his chest and then he dropped it, it hit him in the head, came down into his hands as he was going down. That's always going to be a very awkward and tough grab. If it goes straight into his chest/hands, I think he holds on.

I respectfully disagree. Some of those last second spins to free himself up were moves right out of the VY playbook. Also the delivery was different but Vince was in the top 5 of Texas Qbs...

You're acting like Texas' QBs have lit up the skies. I see the same three or four names on those records' lists, and none of them (not counting McCoy) have really done anything beyond college, which stands to reason they put up gaudy numbers thanks to their system (all in the late 90s and 2000's, go figure). UT's put out better rushers than passers.

Also, I'd be very interested to see how many of Young's "passing yards" were yards after catch. Young's accuracy is crap, he got by with it in college but he also got a lot of short passes busted for big gains, and he also got a lot of easy throws due to pulling defenders in with the threat of the run to the edge. There's a reason Young can't do dick in the NFL.

Guys, im not saying hes a Dan Marino Jim Kelley or a Joe Montana. Nor am I saying that he will be a great passer in the pros. Quite frankly he doesnt have the mental game for that. And yes the reason his passing numbers were what they were was becasue he could run. But he had a gun, he was accurate for a college QB and he won games. By no means was he a Colt Brennan or a Graham Harrell but with your reasoning they should be counted either becasue of the system they played in.

All this started becasue I stated Harris had escape-ability like VY did back in College. You guys can choose to disagree, just saying the numbers back up that he was a good passer.
