The game has been out two days of course passing is going to take time to get used to....in a few weeks a good amount of you will figure the game out like you guys always do and be content with whats going on. It has to be Heisman IMO, there are too many good owners in this league overall to play on AA and the broken tackles on AA are a bit tuned up for my liking.

So I've come to the conclusion that not playing the game for nearly 3yrs really set back my game play. I've managed to accumulate an amazing record of 3-10 in AA online play. I knew there would be some growing pains along the way, but wow, talk about a brutal start.

I don't know if it's a good thing that most games have been 'close,' with me losing in the 4th quarter or if it's just me mismanaging my game. Admittedly, I used every defensive playbook in this string of games and I believe 8 different offensive playbooks, trying to figure out what style of play fits my ability.

I believe both games I played on Heisman yesterday were very close, so maybe the wide-open, score every series style that is AA, just isn't for me. Or... I just suck and will spin around aimlessly in the world that is the bottom of the rankings/standings and scrub D1 teams! :-)

i dont think theres a user pick problem. in my 1st heisman game with a mediocre team, i got 2 user picks.

what i love is the angle of pursuit. i tried it to see if i could get my easy PR tds again  and nope, they tackled me.

i haven't played on Heisman, but this game is NOTHING like '09 in the USER department. Not even fucking close.

...i'm gonna list what i like so i can remain positive:

1) A/B/C things
2) guessing plays
3) pursuit angles
4) better blocking
5) more missed FGs
6) pass rush

...that feels better :D

OK...after playing quite a few more games on Heisman...I've realized that adjusting the gameplan features really makes a huge difference on the BS. I think the great coaches will still dominate, but for the rest of us, the close games and defensive battles are fun too. I don't think worrying about the 35 point rule will be so bad on Heisman as it might be on AA...I'm starting to sway ;)

And user anything is twice as hard in this game (except for Bigmike)...especially on defense [good thing they put in defensive assist] :D

User control is the same as was last year minus the fact that your DBs don't put their Jordans on any more when they jump for the ball.

More missed FGs VVV???

I suck at every aspect of this game, but I've yet to miss a FG. Maybe it's because I can't get the ball across the 50.

maybe i'm crazy but this guy i think i've seen 5 missed FGs in the last 2 games i've played.

1 was me from 56 with full power from the left hash that I missed left, but i thought i had everything good and that it was going in so i guess i figured it's harder.

Mikey,

I definitely agree with the lack of jordan's for the DBs, but i'm even having trouble picking up the indicator for where the ball's going at this point

in 2 heisman games with Troy and Army, i have picked off the ball 3-4 times. not 100% sure. That's perfectly fine. You just suck VVV, you're getting old. I beat you last year pretty easily and this year im gonna do the same.

as well as 56 YARD FIELD GOALS. what do you expect? this isn't the nfl.

i made plenty of 56-yarders last year, Nick, but i may have lost my touch.

I suck at golf now, too. I'm fucking useless, except for dominating your bitchass in MLB contests ;)

that's fine. i stopped betting 2 months ago and i forget the website

plus how can you compare kicking? Last year was outrageously unrealistic. they toned it down so punks like you cant get a free 3. ;)

Definitely wasn't me dude. I've only played online w/PSU. And I haven't run the ball on anyone, anywhere.

I've been good so far tonight, staying off line. (though I'm about to log on) I've been trying to figure something that fits my style and I'm going crazy old school (04/05). The only issue I'm having is about 2-3 delay of game penalties per game. But if I can move the ball consistently and get used to the reads/adjustments, potentially cutting down 1-2 sec, I should be good. Plus it's a matter of getting familiar with a playbook that feels 5x bigger than I remember. (good thing I'm keeping my selection down to about 4-5 formations, tops.

See ya online!

Ok, got to log 2 games against Tebow-cheese and and Zac Robinson-wanna-be-Tebow-cheese. Anyway... got a victory by about 10 in the first matchup and Tebow-cheese got mercied in the 3rd, 31-7. Overall, a good night. My offense seems to be functional, but I really need to diversify it some more. (though, admittedly, it is meant to be run pretty much like I do it)

Formation 1: 75% (9 plays currently) (adding 2-3 soon)
Formation 2: 20% (7 plays currently) (only adding 1 soon)
Formation 3: 5% (4 plays currently) (only adding 2 soon)

Has anyone else ever looked into their usage and really analyzed it? Does this seem reasonable by today's standards.
