Practicing on which level?

Post by pounddarock »

OK, so I don't want to be the one start the great debate, but from comments I noticed by guys who have the game already, I'm just wondering when I finally get the game...should we be focused on practicing on Heisman or All-American?

I'll leave it to the "commishes" to post an official poll or something, but I would like to set up my offline play to mirror the leagues'.

Thanks 8-)

It will take a couple weeks of a lot of scrims and many discussions.

I personally have played both levels equally and I really like them both actually.

AA is easier to pass on and I see a lot of bigger plays.
Heisman seems more realistic still in a total game experience, but can be to suffocating on D at times.

I guess thats what makes this game so good so early on is that no matter what we play on, we will have a great version and awesome seasons.

I would say Im leaning Heisman 51% to 49% over AA at this point.

It would be kind of cool to play on AA with 5 mins quarters...only because that way we could played ranked games and have the stats tracked. Just a thought.
Either way, playing in this league beats the hell out of playing lobby games so I'm down for whichever.

Leaguedaddy :D
But really, if a game were to go on a record, it might get some people focused not on playing a fun game, but might cut a corner or two. I doubt anyone would do that, but it opens the possibility

I like the ranked aspect, but we have to play on at least 6 minute quarters.

5 goes by real quick and is good to get a lot of sims in for a night, but season games have to go 6...at least.

Bingo. That's the reason why Jeff went unranked in the first place.

I suggest everyone jump back and forth between AA and Heisman at least half a dozen times each prior to making a decision on which level we should play. I think both AA and Heisman offer up a great gaming experience this year.

I agree. Focus on both equally and that will get you to make the best possible decision.

I think we're in for a great season either way.

As of now, I'm about 65% in favor of AA, but I've played way more games on AA, so I need to play some more Heisman games to get a better feel for it.

You're right.

It really is good to be able to play a solid number of games...already...by Sunday...when the game doesn't come out til Tuesday.

I'd REALLY put Trendon to the test.

I'd make sure to do whatever I could so the cops would beat me senseless.

Then I'd find out who Trendon hates more, me or the cops. Who would he defend??

I am actually just practicing on Heisman only, because I am so used to us playing Heisman..........Heisman all the way.

I suggest trying out AA man.

AA/Heisman is VERY different than previous versions.

This is subject to change, but so far for me, I haven't noticed much difference in the running games on AA vs heisman.

Passing wise, Heisman is still pretty tough, and we'd probably still have 80% of the league with more INTs than TDs. But on AA, the numbers would probably be MUCH more realistic and evenly dispersed.

That's my thoughts as of now. 65% in favor of AA, NickWadden. :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
