Carolina 6 New England 0 (Carolina Wins Series 4-1)
Four Spartans combined for a six-hit shutout as New England goes home disappointed for the fourth straight season.
New York 2 Port Orange 1 (Port Orange Leads 3-2)
In a pitcher's duel, Julio Ayala and the Launch survived a scintillating performance from Michael Morris. Maurice Davidson provided all of NY's offense with a two-run home run in the fifth.
Steel City 7 NorCal 3 (Steel City Wins Series 4-1)
Triple Crown Winner Bill Pickett once again led the charge, going 2-for-4 with a pair of runs and RBI and a home run in the third.
Albany 4 Las Vegas 3 [12] (Albany Leads Series 3-2)
In the league's best series, Albany tied the game with one out in the ninth on a Iemochi Yamaguchi triple and then used a Pat Johnson RBI single in the 11th to take the lead. Justin Coleman pitched two scoreless frames for Albany to get the win.
Game 6's
New York 10 Port Orange 6 (Series Tied at 3)
Using the highest scoring game since a 13-12 loss to Miami on August 6th, the Launch got six RBI from SS Alex Amaya and four runs in the first, including a leadoff home run from Gustavo Alvarez to tie the series at three.
Las Vegas 9 Albany 6 (Series Tied at 3)
Leading 3-1 with two outs, the Gamblers proceeded to score six runs and blow a close game open to send it to seven.
Game 7's
New York 15 Port Orange 5 (New York Wins Series 4-3)
After spending most of the last three months completely devoid of an offense, the Launch exploded for 15 more runs (and 25 in their last two) to shock the Hawks. Vaughn Walker and Larry Stephens each had four RBI and six players had two runs each.
Albany 7 Las Vegas 2 (Albany Wins Series 7-2)
George Bechtel, the NDLB's wins leader, scattered 11 hits and allowed only two runs (one earned) as Albany scored seven unanswered runs after getting down 2-0 in the fourth to win the series.

Yeesh. Losing Englund's start in game 5 hurts. As does hitting 12 singles in game 7.
Got to ask, is there something with the computer AI that will keep the closer in the game after the ninth when it goes extras? My closer threw 51 pitches over 4 innings in the 4-3 loss in game 5. He gave up the tying run in the 9th and the winning run in the 12th and no one else pitched after he came in.
I feel like I'm missing a setting somewhere...

Not sure...There is a slider under strategy for the pitchers for "hook as a reliever" from quick to slow, also you can enter a pitch count limit in there as well. I've never changed these settings for relievers and very few for starters, so I'm not sure how much these affect things.

Would be nice if there was a setting for pitchers, to pull him after giving up a certain # of earned runs.
