Re: MW3 vs BF3

BF3 you can only communicate with your squad so no one hears what you're saying when you kill them.
I'll tell ya, I have not seen such unbecoming butthurt fanboyism quite like what I've seen from Biffie and AJ. It is rather startling. You guys sure you are adults?BFiVL wrote:Yeah cause it's not like you can't mute them and folks who play bf3 wear top hats and tuxes while sipping dom and settling disputes in a gentleman fashion.
Sorry, it just seemed as such. I got accused by AJ of "insulting [your] intelligence" because I said a YouTube video helped convince me to purchase Battlefield. And, to stay on topic, you can choose with whom you wish to communicate; nobody, squad (of four), or team.BFiVL wrote:Make a statement like that and I retort and I am a fan boy? Little off base since I havent said squat negative about bf3 while blowing mw3 in a shower. Don't give a shit what folks play
As I read this on a 7 year old mac laptop that runs like the day I got it. Never owned a PC longer than 3 years and I actually worked in IT so I knew what I was doing with viruses and such.trendon wrote: Good thing Apple products aren't as good as their competitors!
This is the only opinion I will argue. The sound is absurd. I need to get my hands on Modern Warfare 2 because it did NOT sound like this. The guns sound like they are from the future; a bad sci-fi flick. Either way, I will miss Mosh Pit just like I missed Medley in SOCOM. A truly brilliant idea that is so simple. Everyone I have ever spoken to aside from AJ goes, "Yeah, I guess it is nice" as if the ability to play a random map and mode is something that is not important. I can't think of any games other than Call of Duty and SOCOM that ever had it and I simply don't understand why.ajalves wrote:play BF till the cows come home, i just disagree about the MW sound opinion you have.
And I have been an AmigaOS/PC/unix veteran for almost 30 years now and I have never had a virus despite aimlessly barreling into the seedy underworld of the intertubes. Virus is most often an error between the chair and keyboard, good sir.Shiftdnb wrote:As I read this on a 7 year old mac laptop that runs like the day I got it. Even without viruses, the registration keys would get messed up just by doing regular things, uninstalling, reinstalling, etc. I found after 3 years my PCs would just get slow and just couldn't do what I wanted it to do anymore, i.e. updating to the newest version of photoshop. I will say however, PC gaming is much better than Mac, however I do all of my gaming on consoles (even though I'm feigning to play BF3 on PC just to have graphics like campaign mode in multiplayer.) I have a friend that is a Mac enthusiast as well and he games a lot so he went out and built a PC just for gaming while he does Audio and Video stuff on his Mac.trendon wrote:And I have been an AmigaOS/PC/unix veteran for almost 30 years now and I have never had a virus despite aimlessly barreling into the seedy underworld of the intertubes. Edit: I shouldn't say "never" as that is a lie. It has been a while and I certainly never had one that locked me down.
It's not supposed to be mind-blowingly awesome it's just to explain the differences in the game from others, especially people coming from COD.ajalves wrote:ADN, that video still stinks you posted
How do you switch from Squad to Team coms?trendon wrote:you can choose with whom you wish to communicate; nobody, squad (of four), or team.
And he didn't touch on car bombs. CAR BOMBS! I cannot describe how much fun I have had with car bombs. I was on the map with the Checkpoint and Gas Station and some clown was up in the prairie with a tank blowing everyone to all hell. I got tired of it, so I got me a Jeep, I strapped it full of C4, and I drove straight into that fuck. My teammates were very happy with my suicide. When I learn how to fly, I plan on going full Japanese and flying planes Kamikaze style!Shiftdnb wrote:It's not supposed to be mind-blowingly awesome it's just to explain the differences in the game from others, especially people coming from COD.ajalves wrote:ADN, that video still stinks you posted

It's not gamefly it's EA that is doing that to you. NCAA is the same as well, but we all buy it new so no one ever complains.SuddenBlues wrote:gamefly is making me pay $10 bucks to try it online. I think that is crazy and refuse to waste my money.
