MW3 vs BF3
So I dont want both games and I heard pros and cons from either game but still don't know which game I want.
Which game is better in your opinion? I got BF3 on gamefly but they want 10 bucks to play it online which is a total ripoff. I played the last BF and thought it was good but owned MW2 and Black Ops. I would get BF3 for the ps3 and MW3 for the 360 if that means anything to anyone.

Re: MW3 vs BF3
I can only speak for BF3, but I love it. I am not a person that can just run around and shoot people and get a high k/d ratio so that pretty much makes COD multiplayer useless for me. I like the vehicles in BF3. I like the fact I can be a supportive character without killing everyone and still rank up there with people that have 25 to 2 kill ratios. I love to destroy vehicles and that's where I get most of my points along with capturing and defending objectives. You can get points for putting out ammo (support), for reviving people (assault), repairing vehicles (engineer), and spotting enemy troops (recon), there are a lot of different ways to score and it doesn't depend solely on your ability to run around shooting people.
As far as playing with people we have a little group of guys that have been on, but you're probably going to see more people on COD.
Also the sound is amazing. If you have surround sound speakers or headphones you'll be blown away by the sound but you probably already know that having rented it. The sound is just as good in multiplayer.
I also like the website they have for statistics. Battlelog.battlefield.com

Did you have Modern Warfare 2? Did you like it? If you did then you will most likely like MW3.
Re: MW3 vs BF3
I am converted. I bought both and Modern Warfare 3 is currently on Craigslist. This video was what converted me.

that video sucks. Like BF if you think its better, but dont insult us by saying its because of a youtube video.

I said that before I purchased the game. That video showed me what BF was all about.
Re: MW3 vs BF3
Well, since we are on the topic. Here is my video that depicts what Modern Warfare 3 is like.

While exaggeration, the map design is pretty much the same. All in all, the only thing that I like in MW3 better than BF3 is the variety of game modes. Other than that, I honestly do not see a single area it excels. This is a big 180 from what I have previously purchased (resisting BF, Couterstrike, Clancy, etc) and a huge about face from merely a week ago, but it is what it is.

I am purchasing one of these games tomorrow. Which game has more NDL players playing (not counting A team players which would never have a use for me).

There is no real answer to this question.

Re: MW3 vs BF3
Modern Warfare, I would assume. Battlefield has 13.brwnbear wrote:I am purchasing one of these games tomorrow. Which game has more NDL players playing (not counting A team players which would never have a use for me).
Re: MW3 vs BF3
Try them both out if you can. Not going to know what you like until you actually play it.

I believe what Trendon was trying to say is, he went into BF3 with a COD mentality and didn't like it. Once he realized it was a totally different game by watching this video he was converted.ajalves wrote:that video sucks. Mike is always the voice of reason. You got the time to play them both do that. I havent played BF3 yet and really only had the time to play MW3 for about 3 games (just too hard while the wife is at work and the little one is running around)

1. I am buying Modern Warfare 3! Can't wait.
2. Battlefield gets unanimously great reviews. I am still unsure about the direction Call of Duty is going so I buy it.
3. I strongly dislike it, in retrospect because of the steep - but quick - learning curve.
4. I am still buying Modern Warfare 3 and preparing to sell Battlefield 3 because, one, just because and, two, Battlefield 3 only has three game modes (not including Squad games even though Squad Deathmatch is fucking fun, fun, fun!)
5. I begin to like Battlefield 3 and conclude that there is room in my house for both games.
6. I buy Modern Warfare 3 and log about seven hours of online gameplay and find it to be inferior to BF 3 in nearly every single way with sound, map design, graphics, and realism being runaway winners.
7. I love Battlefield 3.
Re: MW3 vs BF3
Either way you are going to have fanboys for both games. Personally, i don't feel like listening to a bunch of 10yr old talking shit like they are something big just because they sit their little fat asses at home all day playing MW3 and have already prestiged after 3 days

Re: MW3 vs BF3
Sudden - if you are wanting to buy BF3, I will sell you the copy I bought 2 weeks ago. Let me know.
Re: MW3 vs BF3
Yeah cause it's not like you can't mute them and folks who play bf3 wear top hats and tuxes while sipping dom and settling disputes in a gentleman fashion.

Re: MW3 vs BF3
Actually you can't really communicate with anyone during the game so I sip my dom, alone, in the silence of the game...quite peaceful haha.BFiVL wrote:Yeah cause it's not like you can't mute them and folks who play bf3 wear top hats and tuxes while sipping dom and settling disputes in a gentleman fashion.
