Re: No Huddle Offense
If the defense is smart enough to match up with a 4 wr set running a nohuddle, then why would you can if the offense used a formation with a wr lined up at the end of the line in the te's spot? No matchup advantage in the passing game if the extra db is still on the field, and it would be a disadvantage to the offense if running in fact. Plus I'd like the mercy rule to be at 50 anyway

Re: No Huddle Offense
I was referring to tes playing tigt end and slot. The rules clearly state no wr at tight end which is why I posted about using guys in their legal spots.razorback44 wrote:I have no problem with it personally as long as the person isn't audibiling down. I love those offenses where you will see a TE with his hand in the dirt on one play then split out wide on the next.packsyD22 wrote:Would you guys have a problem with someone running this that isn't spread but could jump into shotgun? Keep in mind I would use legal players in their legal positions.

Re: No Huddle Offense
I had ZERO issues with DAK running the no huddle when I played him in each of the last two seasons.
As buckeye said, it was nice to play against something different.

I don't see a problem with it. Lots of teams split their TE's out these days.packsyD22 wrote:I was referring to tes playing tigt end and slot. Re: No Huddle Offense
"NO HUDDLE -- You MUST huddle on any play where the result is the clock stopping (i.e. Incomplete Pass, Out of Bounds etc…) No-huddle offenses are not to be used as a main form of offense. You can use a no-huddle play to catch your opponent off guard once or twice a game, unless the clock is inside 2 minutes at the end of the half or game. No-huddle can also be used by a team trailing late in the 4th quarter. We could set specific guidelines, but PLEASE just use good judgment."
What say you? You no huddlers, you!
Perhaps a review is in order? Perhaps not?

Re: No Huddle Offense
no problems here going against no huddle
Re: No Huddle Offense
Take a look at the GUESS RUN, too. I know, I know. But if you really think about it, it would be great for the league.buckeye76 wrote:buckeye76 wrote: We'll take a look at the no huddle rule.
Re: No Huddle Offense
its mind bottling to me that you ever say anything needs to be changed. year after year and season after season you do whatever you want and neverget dinged on CRs and never have a commish come to you saying someone is complaining about anything you've done.trendon wrote:And vice-versa.ajalves wrote:the usual suspects i see

Your like a guy who complains to the government about some law that was created in 1780 about that isnt enforced.

I don't use guess run because I know that is a super no-no. I also upsell how many rules I break just for amusement sake. I also play a very straight game overall, so people don't begrudge me. It doesn't mean I can't push for rules changes for the good of the league. I think guess run is good for the league.ajalves wrote:its mind bottling to me that you ever say anything needs to be changed. year after year and season after season you do whatever you want and neverget dinged on CRs and never have a commish come to you saying someone is complaining about anything you've done.trendon wrote:And vice-versa.ajalves wrote:the usual suspects i see

Re: No Huddle Offense
if the feature works then yes, it could def. work. the problem was how bad it was broken. you could guess run middle and get 95% of runs for a loss 2 years ago.trendon wrote:I don't use guess run because I know that is a super no-no.
