i voted "no" on a Boston draft. If he build his team 100% legit, then he should not be punished and/or feel guilty for the dynasty he has created.

People are really downplaying how good Boston will be if he keeps his core.

He'll still be better than everyone else by a decent margin.

But he still should be. There is no reason he should not be the best team still but at least it’s not something like this that is nearly undefeatable. If he still wins 110 games while he has this core and not 3 times the farm of any team then that is a normal top level team.

I don’t think the goal here is too make him some average 90 win team, it shouldn’t be.

I've just come from the future, here is a summary of how this plays out:

1. 18 players are drafted from Boston by the non-playoff teams.
2. Boston hits the trade market hard, turning future studs from lower minors into a completely dominant team in just this offseason.
3. Boston wins again next year.
4. Boston, next offseason, sells off enough of these studs getting back better long term players than he gave up in the first place for them, setting himself back up for dominance.
5. Boston wins again the year after next.
6. League discusses a Boston draft at length...

again . . . just asking . . . did he acquire ANY players in an unfair manner?

If the answer is "no" then he should keep all his players and let his dynasty continue. Again, why punish a team because they are good? I agree with hating good teams (I can't stand Yankees, Pats, Lakers) but not punishing them and/or holding them back.

It depends on what you view as an unfair manner.

With some of the trades he pulled off, one can only assume he flashed an unfair combination of perfect hair and smile and his trade opponent swooned and agreed.

Nothing was done illegally. If Corey was not accepting of this we would not even have a poll as it is his team. It is more about what we think is healthy for the league as there is no denying trade activity and posting as decreased dramatically. I personally don’t care as I try just as hard as anyone to win and always will. It is more about what I think is good for the league based on what I see and private conversations I have had with several guys.

why do people continue to trade him if THAT seems to be the problem. Let him utilize FA, draft and extending his own contracts. If the problem tends to be other teams giving MORE and getting less in return . . . it seems to be a simple fix to me. At the end of the day he won't be able to afford ALL of his players and so they will go to FA for all to bid on.

But you'll have someone give up 4 80 potential prospects who are damn near can't miss prospects for Marino, just further deepening his talent pool. I'm an outspoken critic that his team is not good for the league. It's not SIM,

so . . . don't trade him.

Can we put something in effect, kinda like fantasy baseball, where all trades need a 2/3s or even majority vote to pass? Would this help in not allowing a team to trade the entire farm for 1 player? It would help police what the league would deem "unfair" trades.

Give each trade a 24hr window and only those owners that check the boards during that time frame would be counted (IE, not ALL owners are required to vote as I know that would NEVER happen)
