Re: Realignment Format Poll
also what is this "equaling out the schedule" non sense? More teams in ur div means more 15-18 game series vs a finite amount of teams, thinning out facing the other teams even more. It doesnt equal anything out. And have a 8 diviison and a 7 division further doesnt equal anything out cause 8 teams play 7 teams 15 times or 105 games of 162, and 7 team div play 6x15 or 90, an obvious 15 game diff. so nothing equals out. Theres a reason the MLB went from 2 divs to 3, to 15 each side.. they didnt go backwards like we seem to be doing.

Sounds like 1 division would have solved all of this

Re: Realignment Format Poll
glad the people of the league had a say in how we do the realignment rather than the commish saying we will only do it the way he wanted

Re: Realignment Format Poll
You are dumb. 7 or 8 people wrote me yesterday and said 1 division is stupid and they are changing to no if that is an option. All that option does is end the vote for realignment. I have nothing to personally gain from whatever happens and it’s jusf more work to do. I just understand the game and league and put out the best options for us. Grow up manGeorgesGoons wrote:glad the people of the league had a say in how we do the realignment rather than the commish saying we will only do it the way he wanted

If reading comprehension was a strong suit for you then you would have read that all I said is that nobody had a say in what realignment would look like. You said it would be option 1 or 2 and that is it.
Not once did anyone say you had anything (or anyone else) would have anything to gain from realignment.

Re: Realignment Format Poll
so one person brought up an option. at least 2 others brought up another option....so what is your point?shel311 wrote:The option currently winning was brought up by Ted.GeorgesGoons wrote:glad the people of the league had a say in how we do the realignment rather than the commish saying we will only do it the way he wanted

Re: Realignment Format Poll
Here is what you don’t understand. If you just say realignment yes or no then brainstorm it will be voted no 20-5 because guys don’t want to vote yes and not know what it leads to. Especially if it’s 1 division or some relegation system. I know this because I pay more attention to things then anyone just as Corey and Niddler had to before me. I also probably talk to more people in the league than anyone else does. It’s kind of part of the gig.
By laying out 2 options that I know are popular and not huge changes it gives the poll an actual chance.

Instead of having 2 votes, have 3.wdoupis wrote:Here is what you don’t understand. 1 realignment
2 options
3 most 2 voted on and we live with it
we don't need to rush the off season (damn! Now I sound like Shane

Re: Realignment Format Poll
If you voted for option two please change your vote.
The result of the option two passing is then we have two uneven divisions of 8 and 7 and that's stupid.

Re: Realignment Format Poll
2nd division has a tougher schedule and 15 more games (if nick is correct in scheduling from earlier post)GeorgesGoons wrote:1 division has Boston, New York, Lincoln, Seattle, Grand Island, Nashville, New Englandshel311 wrote:How does that really matter?BigRy wrote:If you voted for option two please change your vote.

Re: Realignment Format Poll
you guys want crazy. 15 divisions, 2 teams each. winning team goes to playoffs. 15 teams, #1 overall team gets bye. 2v15, 3v14, 4v13, 5v12, 6v11, 7v10 8v9, when done, 8 teams and you go from there.

Re: Realignment Format Poll
I asked up front how does 2 divisions per fix anything and I was told it would balance out the schedules.
I am curious how?
It may balance them out for now while you have the current strong teams spread out, but what happens when, if I take George's example, Let's say Shel, Bama, SanFran and Miami all become powerhouses, how did it balance anything out over having the current 3 divisions?
You still have an uneven balance in 1 division so what is fixed?
And the unevenness of the divisions, while it may not technically cause any issues, like nick, I am not a fan.
My original thoughts of either keeping it the way it is or have 1 division per league are my two top choices.
You either leave it alone or you make it so it fixes the playoff seeding.

With all due respect, Billy has answered this numerous times across both poll threads.The_Niddler wrote:I asked up front how does 2 divisions per fix anything and I was told it would balance out the schedules.
