So next question, when is a guy first able to sign an extension with this rule in place? After his first arb decision or the off-season right before it when we know if a guy is super 2?

The rule was when he is in his late year of league minimum so year 2 if he is super 2 although I prefer just saying when a guy is in year 3 he can then be signed to an extension as it makes it very clear and easy

Cuevas is in his FINAL YEAR as a 26 yr old.. so I get 1 season when hes about to be a UFA to offer him an extension. the rule is so fucking stupid
