i probably motion 1 time every 2 games.

With that said, I wouldn't dock you for the hot routes and the motioning, but think about how much time you're running off the clock with all the motioning and audibling. That wouldn't exactly be fun, but I think i'd be okay with it.

Then again, if that's the basis of your offense I doubt you'll get good CRs

Well I would think that the defensive coach isn't just sitting there picking his nose and waiting for me to do it. I would hope that in that same window, he's making his adjustments. By that thought process, would you dock someone that took forever to pick a play because they couldn't find them in their playbook? Then you don't even have a chance to do anything.

My personal thought, is that it would be a real shame if someone were to be negative in a coaching report because of this. If we're truly a sim style league, then there is no reason at all. I get the feeling that some people believe that online football is meant to be played with basic formations and basic plays and those people that dare venture outside of those parameters will find themselves in trouble on their CRs, regardless of if the offense is realistic or not.

With that said, I'll definitely do my best to find guys to play that it doesn't annoy. Both for my sake and their's.

I honestly get bored as shit watching somebody go in motion every single play. The running, I understand and did in 09 because it pulls over an extra blocker or moves a DB out of the way when playing man. I still didn't do it but a few plays a game. The motion on passing downs every play just seems like a cheap way to pop guys open because the AI gets messed up.

Reign, realistically there is not one thing wrong with your offense. But for a video game, I agree with the consensus, that it mostly just gets boring watching someone motion all game long. However, if we were to meet up in league play I would not dock you for it.

using motion is fine but if done most of the time, that is gay for a video game. Like Hoos said, it can manipulate the A.I. which I know is not your intentions but it happens. Moderation is the key, so if I see a man in motion and hot routes almost every play you will be docked. Motion every play is like Arena football.

+1, 95% motion would get very old.

This offense is perfectly fine. I wouldn't dock you at all, I could see guys complaining about the motion though, especially if they're losing.

I understand it, but I also would get tired of it real quick. You can be sure you would not see many different defensive plays as well as the defense would be forced to audible coverages to avoid you know pre-snap every play if you are facing man or zone. I have to honestly say I am not sure what I would grade. I would take time to consider my score carefully as I always do, but I would have to see it in-game to really know.

This isn't how I feel, but just being devil's advocate...

Go and look at the "Rules" post and look who says the defensive keys will cause lowered coaches reports, then look at this post and look at who wouldn't. Hot routes and audibles are the offensive "keys" but they have been around for longer. I remember when they first came out, everyone went up in arms complaining about corner routes. Still, if you do the right line audibles, play audibles and hot routes, the defensive players do weird stuff based on it...Just saying, but I wouldn't care about the offensive calls as long as it isn't every single play, just like the d keys...

Reign on U.....our Old O Coordinator played College Football at Cal State Northridge and they ran the Run n Shoot when John Elways dad was the coach and they brought it to Hart in 1988. In 2001 Dean Herrington (the guy whose spot I took) kind of revamped the offense after a coaches clinic on the spread/run n shoot at Northwestern.

If you ever want any game film etc lemme know and I can shoot you what you need.

That's pretty awesome. I was reading up a bit on Herrington and couldn't quite figure out if it was him or his brother that was really behind it all. I'm going to look up some info on that clinic and see who ran it. I live west of Dayton Oh, just north of Middletown. The RnS has deep deep roots here.

I still don't see a problem with it.

I've heard it fucks up the defensive AI, but I really don't see that at all in this year's game.

I view it completely opposite from most guys. I think it's refreshing seeing a new offense. I like seeing guys do different things.

I agree with guys who say it sucks playing a guy who milks the play clock. There's nothing more I can't stand then playing someone who runs the play clock to under :05 EVERY snap.

BUT, I played Reign today and he got his hot routes done quickly, and sent his men in motion and snapped the ball pretty quickly, so I saw zero problems with it.

I just think as an entire league, we're just looking for things to complain about at times, rather than just enjoying games, IMO.

exactimundo, especially because I run 80% of the time so it's a short game no matter what and this would just make it 100x worse

I think this sums up about the past 10 threads on "rules", "draft suck", "gimmicks", and "rosters" that have flooded these boards this past couple of weeks.

I'm looking forward to playing some great league games and as long as you're following the rules, you'll be getting top coaching reports from me.

I don't know, its the battle, the going to war with the other guys, hanging together, having our own dorm, staying in hotels the night before the games, setting ourselves apart, being different than everybody else, having a chance to be somebody, to do something that people look up to you for, your strength, your courage, not everybody can play football... were the lucky ones

Your situation would be different than Riegns cause your no huddle is written in the rules.

Aslo, I wanna pimp a new league I think would be perfect for you. 1 rule, there are no rules. So your fuck you dont tell me what offense i can run would be perfect. Its called the east room or the ospl.

I was in a Madden League that stressed NO RULES a few years back. One guy I played was the Colts and he would run no-huddle switching between a hb dive and slants to harrison/wayne, and he dominated me big time because there was no way to know what was coming and it was too hard to audible.

Thanks god for the rules we have

why would you even play in a league where glitching was allowed?
