His issue is you can throw over the middle and get all 5s, but when he does stuff, he gets docked.

I keep telling him he isn't getting docked so he really has no issue and is complaining just for the sake of complaining.

That's the best I can come up with lol.

NMSU Game http://www.twitch.tv/tball275/b/303973343

Regarding all this talk about gameplay I think it could be healthy. It will be easier helping some of the newer players if they are struggling with some of the rules. Plus like Corey said I think this will help everyone get to the end without the typical burnout. It's a new feature and has a lot of people excited to see some games.

Quack 8-)

Corey's giving you all 5s, how many times do I have to say it?

So, again, what is the point? You're not getting docked, so you're basically bitching for no reason at all.
Because I'd like awareness or change or whatever the fuck else going forward. It is just terribly frustrating. You could probably tell by the manner of defense I was playing.

I am telling you not to be a dick, but I am going back to how I used to play. You just happen to be the next game. I will suffer in my reports this season and it bothers me while I am compelled to give 5's (I am super lenient except in the realism category where I sometimes dock) because they didn't do anything abnormal.

What is frustrating?

You're getting all 5s.

What is frustrating?

We all know my history with Corey and Shel and having watched about 10-15 minutes of your game I am firmly in Corey's camp. He played fine, my opinion is not the same of Trendon's gameplay though.

Tren, what do you think your gameplay deserves in the coaches reports if you were grading yourself.

you're an honest person, i'm interested in your self awareness.

Appreciate it Block but I think thats the problem. I play to much like the rest of the NDL and uniformity of use of the middle of the field when needed for a big play with a skinny post.

Maybe Ill go watch it again as in the game I thought I was pretty varied in my play calling.

OFFENSIVE VARIETY: I should get a fucking two. These past three seasons, where I have behaved, I should get horrible scores because I go dive, bomb, bomb, dive, bomb, punt. The way I WANT to play, I should get a fucking six, but I end up getting twos. I so badly want Nebraska that I play nice. I won't throw it down the middle so I do two things - as you saw - and I get perfect scores.

Meanwhile, I watch people run the same frigging plays constantly and they get fives. That's what is frustrating. I "variatize" some QB scrambles and PA passes and I saw my scores drop. That is fact. I ran the option every play in pre-PS3 versions - EVERY PLAY! - and I got great scores.

It should say OFFENSIVE AGRREABILITY not variety.

I think my point is, your point may be all well and dandy, but you're using an extremely odd time to go on a huge rant about it...again...because you're getting all 5s.

HA! I just posted that.

If I took a step back - or if I could just see a passing chart - I'd give myself a 2. I ran some WR sweeps and shit. But, I'll get a five from Corey and fives from everyone on my schedule every season if I just do that.

I made a sorta joke about changing the name of the scoring category from offensive variety to offensive agreeability and I really like that because it has fuck all to do with variety.

Ill give you 5s for these reasons:

1. I honestly dont take shit personally or so seriously regarding game play unless you absolutely abuse shit I hate, which you didnt.
2. You finally agreed to play me and manned up.
3. I am a nice guy and this was my first fun NCAA game in a while. :D

Not because I won.

I see what you are saying. Again, forget what my coaching report scores will be from Corey or anyone else. I am just generally disenchanted with the way people score, the more I chat about it.

PS2: I ran the option on 99 out of 100 plays. A JeffMo point email was a joyous occasion. Ray complained once because I kept it with the QB too much and we had an argument. That was, like, the lone dissenter. No fucking variety whatsoever. Power option 25 times, triple option 10, 6 option passes, and maybe a Maryland I dive.

Early PS3: I have Grothe and USF and I am just running around in circles, calling PA, faking kicks, and doing all sorts of crazy stuff and I get absolutely raped in my scores. The middle passing begins and becomes a staple of the NDL; every one plays this way.

Current PS3: I smarten up and clean myself up and get great scores despite the fact I essentially run two plays ... just like the people I complain about, just mirror image. Get great scores.

Future PS3: I am going back to playing how I want to. I don't cheat and I don't glitch or do anything illegal. I just play differently and value different plays and I promise you I will get skewered in my reports while everyone else runs two play types and expects fives.

Variety my nuts.

you had 49 strat points at the half.... you don't think you're breaking the rules?

to put it in perspective, besides the one time you did it against me and i paused and said something (even tho i was already up 28 points in the first half) i have never seen 1 person get a strat point in a league game.

See? I do something different (variety) and I get questioned. Change the word on that coaching report form!

Agreeability sounds more appropriate.

I don't think that automatically means rules are being broken.

Play the pass isn't against the rules.

I know where 35+x of them came from

30 off interceptions
5 off stuffed option
x off at least one play the pass. (Forget the amount)

I ended up with 101

You also might have seen the 90 yard passing touchdown brought back because of a hold - and guess why! - but that won't ever be considered by Dave.

stop.

neither is running the play clock down to 1 on every play or running playactions or diagonal line drive punting but we all know that these things aren't part of normal gameplay of straight players.

All in all, this thread has actually disheartened me. Apparently, I am a cheat and get mad at people who play the game correctly; and that isn't sarcasm.

I will ask nicely that the word on the coaching report be changed from "variety," though.

I hate this the most. Whats wrong with playactions? I think I have run like 5 of them all last season but just wondering what is wrong with them?
