Re: Realignment Poll
I mean when it comes time for playoffs.
They might as well have 1 division since the top eight teams in each conference (East and West), ranked in order by win-loss records, qualify for the playoffs.
What is the point of the 3 divisions if they really mean nothing?

Re: Realignment Poll
I don’t think it has anything to do with who is winning. I am in one of the easiest divisions and voted yes. Corey and Ted support it. I don’t think any of us are that worried about what division we end up in and if it makes it harder or not.

Re: Realignment Poll
I'm not worried what division I am in. I'd want to be in with Nick, Corey and She'll personally. I just think 1 division gives us true seeding for the playoffs. There is no reason for Shell to have to chance one of his studs getting injured in the Wildcard series in the format you are pushing for. Hell, do 10 divisions for all I care as long as the top 2 teams get 1 and 2 seedswdoupis wrote:I don’t think it has anything to do with who is winning. Re: Realignment Poll
I am not pushing for anything, just responding to posts. I think realignment is good to reinvigorate things from time to time but whatever guys decide is fine with me.
There is no perfect system, every sport has the same problem but most of the time it’s teally not an issue. Boston/Richmond have been 1-2 for most of the last decade. This is the first time I remember this happening in the AL in a long time.
It just sounds like guys are making a really big issue out of something that is not really a big issue and I rarely even hear guys talk or complain about it

Re: Realignment Poll
There is zero reason to complain, but if we are changing let's get the best solution on the table. Do it like the NBA and seed by AL/NL as a whole.wdoupis wrote:I am not pushing for anything, just responding to posts. Re: Realignment Poll
In fairness, NBA division winners are sometimes seeded ahead of non division winners with better records.GeorgesGoons wrote:There is zero reason to complain, but if we are changing let's get the best solution on the table. Re: Realignment Poll
No I meant Winter Meeting polls always seem to vary on % required to win based on what option is winning and who supports/doesn't support it.wdoupis wrote:I don’t think it has anything to do with who is winning. You guys figure out the rest.

Re: Realignment Poll
Seems the best way to avoid our current predicament and ensuring the best seeding scenarios. AL/NL or EAST/WEST whatever you want to call themThe_Niddler wrote:... 1 division per league. Take the top 8 teams in the AL and give #1 and #2 a bye the first round. Do the same in the NL
Re: Realignment Poll
8 teams and 1/2 get bye eh.. so in the 2nd round when we have 5 teams...

Re: Realignment Poll
I plan on doing rollover quickly Saturday morning so we need to get this decided today. Still 13 votes unaccounted for. Try to reach out to guys who you think have probably not voted.

Re: Realignment Poll
I thought I would have been one of the lone decenters here with the two options that were given for divisions.

Yea, I figured this one would be a no brainer to get through.GeorgesGoons wrote:I thought I would have been one of the lone decenters here with the two options that were given for divisions.
It's probably the closest vote we've ever had the entire way through.
