Re: Block MTV
The software you are using to broadcast should give you the ability to edit the color.
Xsplit is free and it gives you many options. I really like it so far.

Yeah the software side I have tried every setting. It's my cheap webcam and it's an older model so it doesn't handle natural light very well and washes out the tv. My webcam is not hd and only has 640x480 resolution. Thought about upgrading it but if I am going to upgrade at all I'm going to get the Elgato device. Just was glad to know that by modifying my tv settings I was finally able to get a better picture than last season.

The El Gato has officially been ordered and will be here Thursday.
The remainder of all my S25 games will be televised and instead of using this thread to bitch about the justin.tv app I will now use it to give everyone a heads up on when a broadcast is coming later in the night and such...

My Internet is being upgraded friday to 30 down and 5 up. So I hope I will now be able to broadcast games without an issue. If so, I see elgato in my future.Block M wrote:The El Gato has officially been ordered and will be here Thursday.

Re: Block MTV
Well I got my El Gato, very easy to set up but bringing Xsplit in is where it gets complicated.
After Big Brother I am going to mess with the best settings for live streams.

Re: Block MTV
About to run first game with El Gato between 11:30-12 est.
I can't view my twitch feed while broadcasting or it slows everything. If people can give me feedback on how it looks and runs in this thread it will be very helpful.

Re: Block MTV
I finally figured this shit out, but I need more time to tinker with the settings and it's game time.
I will record this cup game and upload it to YouTube to view for anyone who wants to watch.

Re: Block MTV
Block, I should be around pretty much all day today.
Let me know if you want me to watch a broadcast and give feedback.
I learned too, when setting it up, be sure to be playing an online game as the settings in xsplit are much different as compared to broadcasting a play now game.

Well that last line is kind of a bummer as I just got xsplit running a play now game and not dropping any frames.The_Niddler wrote:Block, I should be around pretty much all day today.

Re: Block MTV
I did the same thing. Got it all setup, then played crowes online and had to adjust it all on the fly while the game was playing.Block M wrote:Well that last line is kind of a bummer as I just got xsplit running a play now game and not dropping any frames.The_Niddler wrote:Block, I should be around pretty much all day today.

Re: Block MTV
Sorry about that freeze, the capture device its self just froze so I had to restart it.
Overall how did things look in terms of quality and smoothness for those who watched?

Re: Block MTV
Pretty damn good quality from what I saw. Looked real good.
Re: Block MTV
Good to hear.
The current settings could barely get any lower so the El Gato is capable of a lot higher quality but Im concerned about smoothness so Im afraid to bump them up any. Dont wanna push my internet speeds limits

I am hoping to get an elgato or hauppauge soon, so I will have to see what your settings are at that time.Block M wrote:Good to hear.

Re: Block MTV
Good game streamed this morning. Irish advance after kicking a field goal with eight seconds left to win 34-31. Fairly sloppy with two INTs a piece by each quarterback.
Going into this round this bracket held five A+ teams, the three other brackets combined have four left. So now it is Notre Dame to continue the A+ gauntlet.
Anyone like the cut out Block MTV logo as much as I do? lol Thanks to Holmey for that.
