Not to mention it was literally happening in California/Washington while events were still running.dakshdar wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:44 pmExcept there were a large number of people that were taking it seriously because, you know, there were lots of people dying other places and most other people didn't have the belief that it would just "disappear" here...GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:25 pmHow is pointing out people that said Trump didn't take it serious at first "mental gymnastics?" Wasn't the #3 person in our government out promoting Chinatown during this time?nick wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:45 pmNot to mention it was literally happening in California/Washington while events were still running.dakshdar wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:44 pmExcept there were a large number of people that were taking it seriously because, you know, there were lots of people dying other places and most other people didn't have the belief that it would just "disappear" here...GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:25 pmHow is pointing out people that said Trump didn't take it serious at first "mental gymnastics?" What am I opposing?
US Civics lesson for you. #3 person in line for presidency is the speaker of the house (Pelosi).

good follow. they talk more on the medical side and not the doom side. but its interestign that some reports are saying this disease is like high altitude disease with how it attacks the body. Some NYC Docs even want to stop using ventilators.
https://www.reddit.com/r/COVID19/commen ... should_be/
Frontline NYC doctors think COVID19 should be treated like hypoxemia (altitude sickness) and not like ARDS (respiratory disease). This means less use of ventilators.

Pelosi fails to acknowledge her own behaviour. It was about 20 days ago when she could be seen in San Francisco, encouraging constituents to enjoy Chinatown, despite the looming threat of the virus.
what is this racist bullshit im reading? The fuck does chinatown in the US have to do with an AIRBORNE FUCKING VIRUS.

Now a few posters are doing the exact same thing George does, just on the other side.
Crowes - It absolutely matters when high ranking officials/politicians are blasting Trump for not taking this more seriously earlier when they were publicly not taking it seriously at the same time. In what world does that not matter?

Re: COVID-19
So the big hospital ship in NYC is meant for non-COVID patients. I think it's trauma patients there.
Somehow around 3-4 positive COVID patients were transferred to the ship
We can't do anything right.

Re: COVID-19
What is racist? I'm starting to learn that basic reading comprehension is lost on a lot of people. Quit trying to read into what I am saying and just read what is said. You, webs and a couple of others here already have a prejudged assumption of anything that is typed by me. Obvious case in point was when I mentioned that an older person with underlying conditions (your mom in this case) should stay home as that was the only way she could 100% not be infected. But you two knuckleheads wanted to make it more that what it was because you can't understand a simple written sentence without wanting it to be more than what it was. Which was pretty evident when people that you guys would hold in higher regard, weasel being one, said I was right and you two dropped it like you never said anything.nick wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:58 pm Pelosi fails to acknowledge her own behaviour. Re: COVID-19
People were avoiding Chinatown because it is believed China is the place it started. So Pelosi was visiting there to dismiss the image that because China is where it started, "Chinatowns" should be avoided. It was to try and dismiss the racist assumptions...

Re: COVID-19
You're so quick to want to find the racism, you missed the fact that where she was, Chinatown, is absolutely irrelevant to the discussion.
The point was in late February she was somewhere telling people it's safe, encouraging people to be out and about in public.
But now, folks want to blame Trump ONLY for not taking things seriously earlier.

Re: COVID-19
The racism is you thinking chinatown in San Francisco was some major catalyst in this airborne virus when the first known case was in Washington when a man went to visit his family in Wuhan China. Its very clearly racism to think that because of a specific culture that theyre spreading the disease when also in Washington, people who never left the country were being infected from the start.
But ya.. do you fam.

Re: COVID-19
But she shouldn't have been anywhere encouraging anyone to be meeting in groups.
If we're going to blame Trump for not acting sooner, then we need to blame all politicians equally for not taking it seriously sooner.
