not that big of a deal but just wondering why someone would put Pitt over Rutgers? Rutgers won the Big East and beat Pitt H2H and Rutgers ended on a 11 game win streak after a 4 point loss to Northwestern, who would have had a better record if didn't quit. Like I said not a big deal but I guess the NoleFactor played a role

I agree too..I was very surprised to see Pitt ahead of Rutgers. Probably the biggest "oops" in the polls by voters IMO

I for one saw it as comparing who the teams with one lose lost to, so I put Arizona St in front of both of them, with Pitt next then Rutgers, basicly Rutgers loss was to Northwestern so it hurt them more in my eyes. Does that make sense?

no, because if that is the case and Rutgers lost to Northwestern, what does that say for Pitt who then lost to Rutgers, who lost to Northwestern.
now that makes sense

Penguin that makes sense to me. I put Rutgers ahead of Pitt due to the beating of PITT and the 11 staraight but it was a tough call cause that N'Western loss does hurt if you comparing losses.

Head to head is one way of looking at it, but I am looking at all of the one loss teams, and not just Pitt and Rutgers, then I look at who you lost to. In a but shell, Pitt lost to a strong ranked team, and Rutgers lost to a team that finished 3-9. Basicly who you lose to matters more than who you beat sometimes.

well, it's my first year here, so I am not sure how voting usually goes. But wow, no love for winning a conference. I am really surprised that Texas A&M finished 10th , even behind Missouri with the same record that didn't even make conference championship. Also behind teams from other conferences with same record that didn't make their own conference championship. I could understand if a 8-4 team from a lackluster division got into a championship game and pulled off a upset, that they may get slighted. Aggies not in top 5, or even 7, is a glaring travesty imo.

Media poll ranking Florida above AU despite AU beating them in the SEC champ game ( actually beat em twice although I know we ignore the cup while doing polls) Kind of silly IMO but vote how you want.

I went with conference champions as well. When will the polls become public?

So none of you pays attention to the fact that Pitt has been ranked higher than Rutgers before this last round of voting? Why would they pass them now. Seems like a silly argument to jump a team in the last week due to a game that was back in week 9. If it didn't happen then, why would it now?

It should have happened back in week 9, but who knows based on some of the polls I've seen.

yeah, and I assume that most guys keep their own polls, for example, I always try to go back to my previous poll..not what the actual polls show. Pitt should have dropped from #3 once they lost. I think that when you lose is just as important as who you lose to.

Not as much here as in the real world it would seem.

I want to thank Sigepzook for the vote of confidence at #11. We humbly submit that we are hardly deserving of that....
