At this point Im willing to beg....
to play on Heisman for the following seasons. In fact I kind of like the idea of changing the league structure in that we play the first season on AA and the following on Heisman...maybe even a vote on the what we play in the 3rd season. A new system would let people get used to the game on AA, have the experience of Heisman, and a vote for the third season.
I realize that it is against the status quo to play on a different level for seasons 2 and 3 but it is also a little against the norm to not have the decision by vote. I am just going crazy playing on AA. This league always attracted me because it was an group of hardcore NCAA gamers that played on a different level(both game settings and gameplay). I dont know why but AA just seems like selling out and changing from a long tradition. Im all for the change, but is there anyway we can consider a change at this point. (I realize that historically the answer is no and thats fine).
Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way or would be interested in seeing something like this? Any thoughts? Please dont post anything negative or controversial as Im just interested in discussing the issue.

My first thought would be, what are you hoping to solve by bumping up the difficulty to Heisman?
What issues are you seeing now that are making you feel the way you do?
I am open to any difficulty that the masses choose. So I am just interested in what you are experiencing.

Damn Trendon, at the very least U and I need to schedule a game next season..
To answer your question Nidd. To put it as simply as I can. There is just too much space on too many plays.
What do u guys think about the three step approach. 1. AA, 2. Heis 3. Vote? I say that just because there is always a push in the first few weeks for a lesser level. This would eliminate that problem in the future and seems very fair to everybody.

I'll have to ask Crowes as he has been my only road game so far but I am pretty sure he put it on Heisman, too.
Re: At this point Im willing to beg....
I glad someone posted this... I willing to beg as well. And I have a feeling there is a large majority of us who feel that the league should be playing on Heisman.
Improvements-
Overall improvement of game-play to create an overall balance to the game.
This is game is so slanted to the offense that it is crazy, specially to on AA.
On Heisman, teams would no longer have to hope for a fumble or bone head decision by the offense to get stops throughout the game and would be able to get stops by calling a good defense.
Defenders would do slightly better job of reacting to guys coming through their zones in zone defense.
Defenders would take slightly better angles and react better to the run, and get off blocks a little better in effort to stop the run as oppose the way they do now.
The Random Fumbles would decrease some.
The Snowball effect of MO is not so prevalent on Heisman and teams don't give up as quickly.
Overall it just provides IMO a smoother, more realistic, and balance game between the offense and defense. As oppose to AA which I believe is heavily offense slanted and handicaps the defense in some ways.

For all the ranting you did about how easy AA was, and that was before the update made AA even easier, I was expecting you to have 4000 yards passing and about 30 TDs.6ftdeep wrote:This is game is so slanted to the offense that it is crazy, specially to on AA.

Hmm well lets see I do have over 1200 yards rushing and nearly 2000 yards passing with a team that was expected to finish 4th in the Big 12 south. And I still have 2 games to go.

But hey lets not stray away from the meaning of this post.. It is to bring recognition that Heisman could ve been or could be the level that provides the gameplay we are all accustom to and most balanced gameplay for all.

I think you guys will have a really tough time proving this statement.6ftdeep wrote:It is to bring recognition that Heisman could ve been or could be the level that provides the gameplay we are all accustom to and most balanced gameplay for all.
I think AA works better for the masses.

This needs to be repeated 30 times in this thread.shel311 wrote:I think AA works better for the masses.
I personally loved Heisman over AA but I also understood that the NDL is ALWAYS about whats better for the league and mass of players. I enjoyed playing on AA as well and kept in mind its all about the league.

I don't play road games. Everyone wants to come get their free bonus points at the expense of Trendon and the Bulls!

Re: At this point Im willing to beg....
Thats exactly it you guys...NDL seperated itself from the masses by playing on Heisman. It wasnt the only 112 team out there but it was the only one that played on Heisman. And it is the only one to survive.... Now we have changed that to cater to all the people we tried to get away from back in the day and even now. The masses... I think that is why its harder to find guys now..because we open it up to the masses...Not the elite gamers that are willing to play on Heisman....Just my opinion
